One of the stars of Britain’s Got Talent’s Stavros Flatley looked worlds away from his appearance on the hit ITV show 16 years ago.
Lagi Demetriou, who is well known as one-half of the iconic father-son duo Stavros Flatley, was just 12 years old when he appeared in front of judges Piers Morgan, Amanda Holden, Kelly Brook and Simon Cowell in 2009.
The comedic duo made it to the final of the reality show where they playfully imitated Michael Flatley’s famous Riverdance and finished in third place.
After being a fan favourite, the iconic act has remained in the memory books of BGT fans but two decades later, Lagi, now 27, looks unrecognisable.
Lagi is now a father of two and runs his own business in Cyprus.
However, he hasn’t completely left his dancing day behind as he delighted fans on Tiktok on St Patrick’s Day performing Stavros Flatley’s signature routine.

Dancing to an Irish jig, Lagi entertained his wife and children while recreating the hilarious moves that first made him famous.
Fans took to the comments of the video to say they didn’t recognise Lagi as he is now an adult with children of his own and sports a bushy dark beard.
They wrote: ‘No way!! How did I blink and the wee chubby boy from stavros Flatley turned into a full grown family man?? I swear I only watched that episode a couple years ago;

In 2020, he proposed to his partner Annika Crawford on New Year’s Eve, after five years together, and they married in the summer of 2022.
The couple are proud parents to two daughter Xenia, who they welcomed in March 2022, and Demetria Demetriou, who they welcomed the following year.

Joined by father Demetrios, the 27-year old found fame after reaching the final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, finishing in fourth place behind Julian Smith, Diversity and eventual winner Susan Boyle.
Famous for their bleach blonde wigs, tattooed torsos and shirtless routines, the pair returned in 2019 for Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, finishing second.
Andreas later quit the duo in order to focus on managing his barber shop in Cyprus.
However, they made a triumphant return for the all-star Champions series a decade later, once again making it to the final and finishing in second place.
Since then, Lagi has stepped away from the limelight, moving to Cyprus where he now runs a barber shop in Paphos and hosts his own podcast, CoolerBox.
Now a married father of two, he’s happily settled in Cyprus, even getting a large tattoo of the country across his stomach to match the one his dad famously revealed during their first BGT audition.
The sweet baby-faced 12-year-old now sports a full dark beard and numerous tattoos.
While his father has brought Stavros Flatley back with his nephew Samson, Lagi hasn’t fully stepped away from dancing.

In a 2019 interview with MailOnline, Lagi shared that Simon Cowell urged him not to give up dancing completely, suggesting the possibility of a return to the stage for occasional performances.
He said: ‘When we got to The Champions, I thought this was the right time to leave. But Simon Cowell told me not to quit forever. So I will return for some shows.’
After a decade of performing, Lagi felt it was time to move on. ‘We’ve done this for 10 years for a joke.
‘We’ve done so many amazing things but what is there left to do? We’ve done the Royal Variety, we’ve played in China, Monaco – everywhere. So when we got to The Champions, I thought this was the right time to leave.’
