Brian McFadden on his friendship with Kyle Sandilands and viral stories about spitting fetish with Delta Goodrem

Brian McFadden has revealed where he stands with Kyle Sandilands after the radio star broke news of the ‘disgusting act’ the singer performed with Delta Goodrem.

In April, 53-year-old Kyle stunned listeners with the shocking revelation about the former celebrity couple, alleging he saw McFadden, 44, and Goodrem, 39, ‘spit’ into each other’s mouths at his home while they were dating.

And on Friday’s The Kyle & Jackie O Show, McFadden was asked about his relationship to Sandilands, who was not present due to illness.

Co-host Jackie O Henderson asked if McFadden, who was once close friends with Sandilands, was still in touch with the shock jock.  

‘No, to be honest with you,’ Brian answered bluntly. 

‘I moved back to the UK and we kind of lost touch after that. And it was just one of those things. I guess the more months and years that went by, we just kind of drifted apart.’ 

‘I don’t have any bad blood towards Kyle at all. He was my best friend when we lived in Australia,’ the singer admitted.

‘And, you know, we had great years together. It’s just something that happened. And, you know, I think if I probably still lived in Australia, we probably would have still been friends.’

It comes after Kyle caused global controversy when he made the spitting fetish claims about Brian and Delta earlier this year.

While discussing co-host Jackie O’s sex life on-air, Sandilands brought up an eyebrow-raising act he claimed he witnessed the then-celebrity couple did.

‘They’d just spit in each other’s mouths and giggle,’ he claimed.

‘I was like… “you’re in my lounge room what’s going on here”… it was like Travis Barker and that old Kardashian,’ he added.

Brian and Delta met in 2004 when he asked her to duet with him on the song, Almost Here. 

The couple announced their engagement in 2007 but split four years later in 2011.

At the time Brian was still married to reality TV star Kerry Katona, the mother of his two children, although they had separated and the song was about their break up.

In 2012 he married Irish model Vogue Williams but they later divorced in 2017.

In December 2019, he announced his engagement to physical education teacher Danielle Parkinson, and they welcomed a daughter in 2021.
