Australian cricketer Brett Lee has revealed what it was really like filming his iconic Weet-Bix advertisement.
The sports star, 47, explained on the Hello Sport podcast, he was given a spit bucket so he wouldn’t have to eat the whole-grain wheat breakfast cereal during filming.
‘When you do the commercial, they had a spit bucket and because I was only young and I just played my first test, I was the new ambassador,’ he explained.
‘You go on and you eat it and after they say cut, you’re meant to spit it out.’
‘So they’re doing different takes and I just keep eating and the spit bucket was clear as. I did 32. I was bloated. I was cooked,’ he added.

Many fans reacted to the admission, with one writing: ‘I could easy do 25 in a bowl without stopping or filming like he would have been. Loved them.’

‘My boy was doing 2 at 10 months. Now he’s 10 years and starts every morning with 6 than decides if it’s another bowl, toast or fruit for round two,’ a third wrote.

KIIS FM host Kyle Sandilands admitted on his breakfast show on Tuesday that he was left stunned by Brett’s admission.
‘I think that’s the whole little box,’ a shocked Kyle said.
His co-host Jackie O Henderson added: ‘I feel like I could do that. I might have been able to do that a few years back.’
According to the Weet-Bix website, adults are recommended to eat no more than four Weetabix biscuits per day.
