Brazier Hosts Emotional Farewell for Son Bobby

The presenter, 47, took to Instagram on Saturday to share a sweet family photo from the bash, held at their home. 

Jeff said the night came with 'lots of emotion' as it also marked Bobby's late mother, 's 45th birthday.

Jade tragically passed away aged 27 in March 2009 after a short battle with cervical . 

There was no sign of Bobby's younger brother Freddy, but Bobby did spend time with his baby niece, Isla, late last month. 

Jeff wrote: 'A wonderful little gathering last night.

'There were a few people wanting to wish Bobby safe travels because he soon departs for his NY adventures! I’m going to miss him so much!

'And also to raise a glass for what would have been Jade’s 45th birthday.

'Lots of emotions swirling as you can imagine. Think I’m going to go and move my body before I actually have to say goodbye to the kid.'

Bobby, 23, announced his plans to move stateside earlier this month. 

He said: 'You know I'm actually moving to New York. Well I say New York, in New Jersey', and revealed he will move in July. 

It was reported last year the and Strictly star was pursuing the Hare Krishna religion after falling out with his father Jeff and brother Freddy.

A source told The Sun at the time: 'Bobby is really excited and happy about his move to . He’s been telling everyone about it and preaching to them about why he is devoted to Hare Krishna.

'He’s such a nice young man, his heart is in the right place, but some people are surprised that he’s walking away from his career at a time when he’s on such a high with it.

'He says he expects to be over there for a long while, at least a year, so maybe he will pick up on his career eventually when he’s back.' 

The actor joined the soap in 2022 as Freddy Slater and even won the National Television Award for Rising Star for his work on the show. 

Bobby revealed he 'spent a lot of money' after suddenly becoming a household name during his appearance on Strictly. 

He also joked that his newfound fame left him 'thriving' off the attention of older ladies, who he said were fans of his gyrating hips.

Bobby finished in second place behind eventual winner Ellie Leach and won plaudits for his routine in memory of late mother Jade.

Speaking to Daily Mail about his time on the show, Bobby insisted that he remained the same person despite the attention, including rumours of a move to Hollywood, but laughed: ‘I spent lots of money.

'You kind of just take it as it comes and nothing really changes, there’s what everyone see and then there’s your life and I’m too invested in my own life to get wrapped up in what everyone else says and is talking about'.

Before quipping: 'But I did see that a lot of older ladies liked my hips and I loved that.'

Last year, Bobby shared his love for the religion on Instagram with a slew of posts, writing: 'Chanting Hare Krsna mantra is so good my heart'.
