Dr. Wendy Osefo of Real Housewives of Potomac fame is facing consequences from her shock arrest.

On Thursday night the 41-year-old TV personality and her husband Eddie Osefo were arrested and charged with fraud in Westminster, Maryland.

Now the network that made her famous, Bravo, has pulled her episode of the new series Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition.

Variety reported on Friday that the show’s premiere date has been delayed as a result of the last-minute scramble.

Wendy’s episode was expected be the series opener, according to the outlet, although the network previously advertised that her appearance would have been episode two.

The show was initially slated to hit airwaves on October 14, but will now debut on October 21.

An official Wife Swap synopsis reads: ‘Dr. Wendy Osefo, who runs her busy Maryland household prioritizing strict rules, a tight schedule and education at the forefront, swaps lives with free-spirited Floridian Alethea Shapiro, who prioritizes fun, independence, absolutely no rules and … ferrets.

‘Will Dr. Wendy be able to find the balance between structure and fun? Can Alethea bring a little more spontaneity to the Osefo family?’

Wendy and Eddie — parents-of-three — are facing a combined 16 charges, per a TMZ report.

The charges include seven felonies, one misdemeanor count of making a false statement to an officer, and false/misleading info fraud in excess of $300.

They are parents to sons Karter, 12, and Kruz, nine, and daughter Kamrynn, six.

Wendy and Eddie were released from jail after posting $50,000 bond.

A rep subsequently shared with E! News, ‘Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits.’

The statement continued, ‘They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans and colleagues.

‘The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.’

The couple’s grave charges are in connection with a burglary they claim to have had in April 2024.

The pair claimed designer bags and jewelry were stolen from their property while the family was away on vacation.

However, police learned several of the belongings worth $20k had allegedly been returned to the stores where they were purchased for a ‘full refund’ prior to when the robbery occurred.

During a September 2020 episode of the Gabbing With Gib podcast, Wendy went into detail about the alleged incident.

‘It happened because my family was away on spring break,’ she said at the time. ‘It was our spring break trip with the kiddos and I was just so heartbroken.’
