The 48-year-old performer affectionately held the hand of his child, six, as they crossed a street while making their way through the Big Apple.
The Maestro star, who recently spoke about his willingness to return to one of his old roles, opted for a dark green button-up jacket and a pair of wide-legged sweat pants as he stepped out.
Cooper also wore a pair of tri-tone Nike sneakers and kept a backpack slung over his right shoulder.
The Academy Award-nominated performer completed his look with a black beanie.

The star of the Hangover franchise shares Lea with his former partner, Irina Shayk.
The actor and the 37-year-old supermodel initially began dating in 2015, and they welcomed their daughter two years later.
Cooper was also briefly married to Jennifer Esposito, although they ended their marriage after just five months.
The actor and the fashion industry personality remained together until 2019, when they went their separate ways.
The pair has remained on amicable terms ever since their split and currently co-parent their child.
Cooper has since been romantically linked to Gigi Hadid, with whom he was first spotted this past October.
The performer spoke about fatherhood during an appearance on the SmartLess podcast, where he revealed that ‘everything changed’ after he welcomed his daughter.
The actor went on to discuss how becoming a parent completely altered his outlook on life.

‘Every single thing is absolutely shaded by, or brought into glorious colors, by the fact that I get to be a father to a wonderful human being,’ he said.
Cooper then compared the elation he received from parenthood to his work in the entertainment industry.
‘You have this wonderful thing or breakthrough with a script, or you have a wonderful moment on this set or in an editing room…you have like 40 of those moments every day with your kid, that are that level of joy,’ he said.
The A Star Is Born director added: ‘That’s not spinning it, that’s just the truth.’
