Bradley Cooper ran out of a press conference for his film Maestro in New York on Thursday afternoon in order to talk to the school nurse about his six-year-old daughter Lea.
Cooper, who has joint custody of Lea with ex Irina Shayk, was 20 minutes into a press conference to promote the Netflix film – in which he plays composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein – when he looked at his phone and said: ‘So sorry. The school nurse just called me.
‘Can I just leave the room for a second to call them back and you can keep going. Is that all right?’
When the 48-year-old came back, he explained: ‘I have to go to the school to do something with Lea that needs… I have to apply something that they won’t allow…. I have to do it, so it’s like a 10 minute walk.’

The star was in the middle of a conversation when he had to step away in order to talk to the school nurse about an issue that he needed to assist with
DailyMail.com has contacted Bradley’s spokesperson for comment.
The press conference incident came after the nine-time Oscar nominee was pictured on dad duty with his child in New York on December 15.
The Silver Linings Playbook star held a cup of coffee while wearing a black puffer, grey pants and black and red Nikes.
Meanwhile, his daughter was animated as she walked beside her father in a white top with light blue printed pants and a long navy blue puffer coat.
Just days before, young Lea made her red carpet debut alongside her famous father.
While Cooper looked dapper in a three-piece navy blue suit with a white shirt and black tie, his daughter wore a darling dress.
Lea set her own red carpet style in a leopard print Dolce & Gabbana dress teamed with sparkly gold ballet flats.
The youngster had her blonde hair back, rocked side swept bangs, and even sported a red manicure for her special night.
She carried a boxy red purse and posed for photos with the cast of the movie including Maya Hawke, Matt Bomer, Sarah Silverman and Carey Mulligan.

The youngster, who favors Bradley with her blue eyes and blonde locks, held hands with her movie star parent as they walked the red carpet.
But Lea wasn’t just her father’s date for the evening, she also appears in the film as a younger version of Maya Hawke’s character Jamie Bernstein, according to IMDb.
But the glitz and glamour of a big time Hollywood movie premiere was lost on the little girl after awhile.
As her dad talked to Mulligan and Lady Gaga, Lea took out a coloring book and sat on the ground of the floor of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
In footage captured by Entertainment Tonight, Lea could be seen scribbling away, before looking up at Cooper, and cutely trying to get his attention by repeatedly saying: ‘Daddy!’

While her mom didn’t attend the premiere she did offer her good wishes on Instagram: ‘Congrats @maestrofilm So proud Daddy and Lea,’ she commented under a black and white Maestro poster.
Cooper and Shayk dated for five years but never married. He is now dating supermodel Gigi Hadid while Shayk has been romancing sports star Tom Brady.
The talent actor has been nominated for best actor three times and best supporting actor once but has never won an Oscar.
He is campaigning hard on behalf of the new film Maestro which he directed, produced and stars in, alongside Mulligan as Bernstein’s wife Felicia.
