Bradley Cooper finally breaks silence on plastic surgery rumors after taut new look sparked speculation

Bradley Cooper has finally weighed in on the feverish plastic surgery rumors over his noticeably refreshed appearance that sparked intense online speculation.

The actor, who turned 51 earlier this week, addressed the chatter while appearing on the SmartLess podcast this week, where hosts Will Arnett and Jason Bateman didn’t shy away from the elephant in the room.

During the episode, Arnett acknowledged how fans have been convinced Cooper has gone under the knife, before insisting that the American Hustle star has not.

Bateman echoed the sentiment, prompting Cooper to jump in with his own response.

The Oscar nominee revealed that he’s been stopped repeatedly in recent weeks by people commenting on how ‘good’ he looks, before admitting the attention has been ‘crazy.’ 

While Cooper didn’t directly confirm or deny any procedures, the conversation made clear that the speculation has not gone unnoticed.

The rumors first gained traction in October when Cooper was filmed on the promotional trail for his latest project, Is This Thing On?. 

A clip shared by E! News quickly went viral, with fans zeroing in on the actor’s smooth, plump complexion and seemingly sharper facial contours.

Commenters flooded social media noting his more pronounced cheekbones, with some comparing his look to Barry Manilow and Cillian Murphy, while others simply remarked that he appeared ‘different.’

Adding fuel to the debate, cosmetic surgeon Gerard Lambe, who has never treated Cooper, previously told Daily Mail that the star’s appearance could be the result of highly skilled cosmetic work. 

Lambe speculated that Cooper may have undergone subtle procedures such as jaw tightening or a lower facelift, possibly using advanced techniques that lift the SMAS layer beneath the skin to restore structure and definition.

Lambe also suggested Cooper could have had a minor eye-related procedure, noting that his eyes appear wider and more open. 

Despite the speculation, the surgeon praised the alleged work, saying the changes looked natural and well-executed.

His makeover comes amid his two-year romance with his girlfriend Gigi Hadid, who is 21 years his junior.  

Last month, the Daily Mail learned that the stars have both taken major steps towards saying ‘I do’ in 2026.

Sources have revealed that the actor has even asked the 30-year-old supermodel’s mother, Yolanda Hadid, for her permission to propose.

The A-list couple have been dating since October 2023.

‘Bradley asked Yolanda for Gigi’s hand in marriage,’ a source has told Daily Mail. ‘He wants her to know how serious he is about Gigi and how he plans to build a solid family with her in New York.’

Cooper has also let his own mother, Gloria Campano, in on his big plans. 

‘They are very close and he loops her in on everything,’ the insider said of the mother-son relationship.

‘Her mom, Yolanda, is on board so that was a no-brainer. But Gigi telling her father [Mohamed Hadid] she wants to marry Bradley is a big step, it’s much more official,’ added the source.

A big reason Cooper and Hadid want to get married is their children, as they want them to be raised together.

Cooper shares daughter Lea De Seine, eight, with his model ex Irina Shayk, 39, and Hadid shares daughter Khai Malik, five, with ex Zayn Malik, 32.
