Brad Pitt has no plans to accept a multi-million dollar offer to reunite with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie onscreen, with insiders close to the actor branding it a ‘publicity stunt.’
Producer Danny Rossner wants to hire the warring former spouses to play lovers in his new film based on real life hotelier Emmanuel Martinez.
Rossner – whose work includes spoof 2001: A Space Travesty with Leslie Neilsen – said he believes the estranged couple can ‘put their differences aside’ for the sake of his 20-year passion project.
But sources close to Pitt, 60, who has been trying to finalize his divorce from Jolie, 49, since 2016, claim there is ‘no way’ he would ‘lower himself’ to accept money to work with someone who has caused him so much ‘heartache.’
‘All the money in the world wouldn’t get Brad to appear in a movie with Angelina ever again,’ an insider told DailyMail.com exclusively.
‘It would definitely spark public interest, but it’s not anything he would ever consider for a moment.

‘They are currently bitter enemies so there is no way Brad would lower himself to be paid any amount of money to talk to Angie on screen.’
The insider finished: ‘She’s caused him so much heartache and doesn’t even want his inner circle to talk about her.’
Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016 after an explosive fight on their private jet.
He has been estranged from his daughter Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16, ever since, as well as his three adopted children Maddox, 23, Pax, 20 and Zahara, 19.
The two were declared legally single in 2019, but are still embroiled in an ongoing legal battle, dubbed the War of the Rosés, over their Chateau Miraval estate.
Another source said Rossner’s alleged offer was a ‘clever publicity stunt’ and ‘not something either side entertained.’
They added: ‘There was never any real offer.’
Rossner’s love story is set at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France, during World War II.

Should both parties sign on, it would mark 20 years since they met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith (pictured)

Should he accept, Pitt would play Martinez, the real life hotel owner, alongside Jolie as his mistress Emma Digard.
Rossner made public his overly optimistic plans to heal the duo, and claimed he has raised around $60 million from his backers to entice them to sign on.
‘Right now, I think, Brad Pitt’s in the $20 to $25 million range [per movie] and Angelina Jolie is in the $15 million range,’ he told The Post.
‘In the 50-percent range above their going rate is what we’re prepared to offer.’
He said they would have to act out ‘heavy love scenes,’ but acknowledged this might be a challenge and added that he is willing to ‘accommodate’ their wishes.
‘There is a love scene … It’s a torrid one, too,’ he said. ‘It’s not salacious but there are very heavy love scenes. [Martinez] had a wife and he had a mistress.’
He added: ‘If we can have a cease fire between Israel and Lebanon, [Pitt and Jolie] can put their differences aside and come together to build a bridge and make this movie.’
Rossner, whose credits also include the action movie The Ultimate Weapon with Hulk Hogan, said he has no second choice for the roles.

‘Guaranteed success if they come on,’ he finished. ‘There’s not even a second place. It’s a slam dunk with them.’

An FBI report, which was published in 2022, saw Jolie accuse Pitt of physical assault while flying to California back in September 2016.
She claimed that he was intoxicated and grabbed her by the head, shook her, and later pushed her down, as part of a confrontation allegedly related to their children.
The Salt actress told the FBI that Pitt told the children that she was ‘f***ing up this family,’ and claimed he punched the ceiling of the airplane four times.
She claimed that at one point he poured beer on her and a blanket she was under with multiple children.
A source close to Pitt later insisted that he never hit any of the children, though they admitted that he had been drinking.
Pitt sued Jolie in 2022 for selling her stake in their French vineyard, which produces an award-winning sparkling rosé.
Earlier this month, Jolie scored a major legal victory against her ex-husband after a judge ruled that he must hand over documents and communications which could prove he was abusive towards the actress and their children.
