Boyzone to Reunite Six Years After Last Tour in Exciting Announcement

Boyzone have confirmed they are set to reunite, six years after their last tour.

The Irish 90s boyband sent fans into frenzy after making the revelation on BBC Radio 2 on Friday.

Co-leader singer Ronan Keating revealed the band group will ‘try’ and reunite in 2026 after the acclaimed success of their recent documentary.

The much-loved pop group rose to fame in 1993, formed by Ronan, 48, alongside Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Stephen Gately – who died in 2009 at the age of 33.

Chatting to Scott Mills on the Breakfast Show, Ronan said the response to the four-part Sky documentary Boyzone: No Matter What, released back in February, had prompted fresh discussions about the group’s future.

He said: ‘The reaction was unbelievable, so we’ve obviously been talking about our story for the last 30 years, and we felt like that was kind of it, that maybe that was the end of the story.’

‘And well, we’ve all been chatting over the last few weeks, and I think 2026 might be a year for Boyzone to maybe try and do something.’

As if it wasn’t enough to send fans in overdrive, the band took to their Instagram page posting a grid of pictures of themselves, captioning: ‘the journey continues’, encouraging fans to sign up to a mailing list.

Boyzone first split after seven years together in 2000 to pursue solo careers, but eventually reunited again in 2007.

They toured the world with their Thank You And Goodnight farewell shows between 2018 and 2019.

Asked by Scott Mills how his bandmates were doing, Ronan said: ‘They’re really great… after the documentary, the reaction was crazy, it was unbelievable, honestly, even people that weren’t fans of Boyzone were contacting me saying, ‘I had no idea’.

Speaking about the reach of their documentary, he added: ‘British Airways had it on the plane (to England) in the documentary section, and somebody was watching it next to me, and it was really awkward, I had to put a blanket over my head.’

More surprises were on the table as Ronan also teased there could be another surprise when he takes to the stage at Radio 2 In The Park on Saturday.

He said: ‘I’ve got a lot of surprises at the moment, and I don’t know which one to take out of my pocket, because there’s a few things brewing right now.

‘There’ll hopefully be one tomorrow on stage, and then there’s going to be maybe one in the next few minutes, I might have one for you, Scott (the potential reunion.)’

Since its release, Boyzone: No Matter What viewers have had some very harsh words to say about manager Louis Walsh’s treatment of band members Stephen and Mikey .

One scene in particular called out by fans was where Louis recalled Stephen, who tragically died in 2009, being outed as gay in the British tabloids.

Viewers claimed the former The X Factor judge ‘smirked’ while speaking about the story and accused him of leaking it.

‘Dear god Louis Walsh looking at the news headlines outting Stephen is stomach churning’ one viewer said.

Elsewhere in the documentary, the band members recall enduring ‘cruel’ times under Louis’s management while Ronan later calls him ‘vicious’ and accuses him of ‘trying to ruin my career’.

Boyzone: No Matter What features never-before-seen footage of manager Louis and members, Mikey, Ronan, Keith, Shaneand the Stephen, as well as interviews with those closest to the group.

But viewers were quick to share their thoughts on Louis, as they wrote on X, formerly Twitter: ‘After watching the documentary, I really think m that Louis Walsh had a hand in outing Stephen Gately. The glee on his face when he saw that news paper article was just vile, absolutely vile!’.

‘Watching the #Boyzone documentary and Louis Walsh is a vile little creature. The smirk on his face. Absolute horrid little man,’;

‘Watching #Boyzone #NoMatterWhat Louis Walsh and Rav Singh are 2 vile human beings. Stephen and Mikey deserved so much better,’;

‘Louis Walsh. Wow. Comes across as completely vile!’

MailOnline has approached representatives for Louis for comment.
