Box Office Showdown: Reynolds vs. Lively

Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds battled it out for the top of the box office over the weekend, but the young upstart couldn’t unseat the current champion.

Variety reported this was the time in more than three decades that a married couple had their films top the box office.

The last time was Bruce Willis’ Die Hard 2 opposite then-wife Demi Moore’s romantic drama Ghost in 1990.
