Bobby Brazier Reflects Spiritually After EastEnders Exit, Plans Move to India

BOBBY Brazier has ditched the life of showbiz for one of spiritual fullness, and plans to move to India for a fresh start.

The soap star, 22, departed the EastEnders cast earlier this year, having turned to faith after a series of difficult family events.

These included facing a strained relationship with his father Jeff and brother Freddy, and continuing to mourn the passing of his mother Jade Goody who died from cervical cancer in 2009.

Taking to Instagram yesterday Bobby made a spiritual post, utterly beaming in a smart grey coat and green beanie.

“Proper ledge,” the young actor penned over a photo of himself next to a gentleman holding up a book called Chant and Be Happy.

“Chant and be happy.”

This isn’t the first post like this Bobby has made.

He’s actually posted a lot about his spiritual journey, sharing snaps and videos from a recent trip he took to India to dance and rejoice with other Hare Krishna followers.

On a recent reel he posted dancing with glee, Bobby shared how “it doesn’t get better than this”.

“Watching these videos back and still after all I’ve experienced so far in the world, I’m thinking surely it doesn’t get any better than this… surely?! @indradyumnaswami has been chanting for over 50 years and says that it just gets better.

“This is the pleasure that the soul is running after. To chant and dance in the association of devotees like @sacinandanaswamiofficial who have such a deep, loving devotion toward the Lord, who is non-different from his name, is an experience that the material world just doesn’t offer.

“I have no real devotion but by the mercy of the holy name and those great souls who do, I get to experience a little taste of their love of God and pray that this impression won’t leave me.

“Man it’s so amazing.”

Though the Strictly finalist also added: “Don’t worry back on the telly soon… if anyone gives me a job.”

Hare Krishna is a branch of Hinduism which emphasises devotion to Krishna – a supreme deity.

Believers can show their devotion through traditional prayer worship as well as practices like chanting his name and dancing in celebration of his power.

While in the process of arranging his move across the world, Bobby has become a regular at the Hare Krishna temple in Soho.

Alongside worship, he can often be found helping to prepare meals for people as a volunteer.

A volunteer at the temple told MailOnline: “He’s here every Saturday without fail.

“He joins our kitchen session, learns the prayers – this isn’t a gimmick.”

A family friend added: “Bobby had a difficult life. His mum dying left a mark on him, as it would.

“Hare Krishna is somewhere he seeks solace. It might seem strange, but for him, it works.”
