Blake Lively raided her own jewelry collection and borrowed clothes from her gal pal Gigi Hadid to use onscreen in her new movie It Ends With Us.
The 37-year-old plays a florist called Lily Bloom whose marriage to Ryle Kincaid (Justin Baldoni) goes from passionate to abusive.
To transform into her character, Blake reunited with Eric Daman, her old costume designer from her star-making turn on Gossip Girl.
‘Blake brought in her own jewelry, her Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. I didn’t have budget for that. She has incredible taste and incredible things,’ Eric gushed to People.
She is also seen in the film wearing her own personal pair of suede-trimmed crystal fishnet Saint Laurent boots, which can be found online for $2,990.

Based on a novel by Colleen Hoover, It Ends With Us was directed by Justin Baldoni, who also plays the leading character’s abusive husband.
The cast includes Big Mouth star Jenny Slate, former late-night host Hasan Minhaj and Mapplethorpe actor Brandon Sklenar.
‘A lot of the jewelry was from her personal collection. She’d bring in her beautiful little jewelry box in a tote bag and be like: “What do you think about this?”‘ said Eric.
‘I’m like, I actually can’t speak. You open [the jewelry box] and it’s like the Holy Grail,’ the veteran costume designer said.
‘How many pieces of Lorraine Schwartz diamonds are in there? And why are you just carrying that around in a tote bag? It’s so great.’
Lorraine herself, whose has worked for such celebrity clients as Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian, said: ‘It was so exciting to see all the beautiful jewelry in the movie.’
She added: ‘Blake is the ultimate jewelry girl and she is mine and my sister Ofira’s muse. Over the years we have been so lucky to jewel her and to know her.’
Lorraine continued: ‘She is family and has become a huge creative inspiration to us both. I love that our pieces she wore in the film are from her own personal collection that she’s acquired throughout the years.’

‘I did a later fitting at Blake’s and got to visit the miraculous, literally to-die-for shoe closet,’ her costumer remarked: ‘I can’t even tell you how amazing’

Blake has confessed she swiped a few ‘shirts and socks’ from her movie star husband Ryan Reynolds, whom she is pictured with at the It Ends With Us premiere on Tuesday
Arriving in theaters this Friday, It Ends With Us has earned a tepid response from the critics to the tune of a 59% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Blake first became a star on the CW series Gossip Girl from 2007 to 2012, amid a cast that included Kristen Bell, Leighton Meester, Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley.
As the preppy and pampered Upper East Side teen Serena van der Woodsen, Blake was dressed in an array of stylish outfits put together by Eric.
However, once they were working together again on It Ends With Us, they found themselves taking a more budgeted approach to Blake’s wardrobe.
Blake has confessed she swiped a few ‘shirts and socks’ from her movie star husband Ryan Reynolds, sprinkling them ‘randomly’ through the movie.
She also used her role to show off items from Guest In Residence, the new clothing line started by her supermodel pal Gigi Hadid.
‘I have some of Gigi Hadid’s sweaters in the movie,’ Blake dished. ‘She has this line, Guest in Residence, but also she would run out and I would be like: “I want this one,” because of all the really cool patterns and whatnot, and she’d be like: “I have that. You can wear mine.” So some of that.’
‘Gigi sent us a ton of amazing stuff from her Guest in Residence collection that we featured in several looks,’ Eric explained.

‘And we see Ryan’s plaid vest in a Lily Bloom’s store scene. It all adds such a personal touch to the character. I love that Blake is so open and willing to share her (and her husband’s and her BFF’s!) finery with us. I’m truly grateful.’
Blake also wore her own crystal fishnet Saint Laurent boots, as well as two selections from her personal stash of Louboutins.
‘I did a later fitting at Blake’s and got to visit the miraculous, literally to-die-for shoe closet. I can’t even tell you how amazing,’ Eric shared.
‘She brought them in, and what am I going to do? Be like: “I don’t know, those feel like middle management. No, that’s not the thing,”‘ she said.
‘The producers and other people had different ideas. She’s wearing f***ing crystal YSL boots and you’re going to do a pan of her walking in.’
