Blake Lively’s nephew Jake weighs into Justin Baldoni lawsuit with cryptic remark

Blake Lively’s nephew has dropped a cryptic remark seemingly referencing his aunt’s legal battle with Justin Baldoni.

Last week, Jake Lively commented ‘We have DRAGONSSS’ on an Instagram post his aunt shared celebrating Wrexham AFC’s latest victory on the pitch.

While Wrexham – a football team co-owned by Blake’s husband Ryan Reynolds, 48 – is also known as the ‘Red Dragons’, Jake’s comment may have had a secondary meaning in light of his aunt’s controversy. 

It was previously claimed that Blake, 37, referred to her husband and superstar pal Taylor Swift as her ‘dragons’ in a text message sent to Justin Baldoni, 41, her It Ends With Us co-star and director.

‘If you ever get around to watching Game of Thrones, you’ll appreciate that I’m Khaleesi, and like her, I happen to have a few dragons,’ she allegedly texted Baldoni.

‘For better or worse, but usually better. Because my dragons also protect those I fight for. So really we all benefit from those gorgeous monsters of mine. You will too, I can promise you.’

Khaleesi, also known as Daenerys Targaryen and Mother of Dragons, is one of the main characters in Game of Thrones, which aired between 2011 to 2019.

Although she starts out heroic, she is eventually portrayed as a villain at the end of the series after descending into madness and vengeance due to trauma and loss.

Jake’s comment, which was accompanied by two flames and a dragon emoji, did not go unnoticed by at least 153 Instagram users, who all ‘liked’ the remark. 

Jake, who describes himself as a ‘professional poser’ on his Instagram account, is the son of Blake’s brother Jason Lively and his wife Lani.

A model and actor, Jake often shares behind-the-scenes content from his various projects, including an action-packed commercial he starred in for the cell phone POCO F7 Ultra and a shoot he did for Nordstrom.

Late last year his aunt became embroiled in a massive Hollywood controversy after she launched her legal battle against Baldoni, accusing him of sexual harassment, orchestrating a smear campaign against her, and more (which he denied).

The alleged ‘dragon’ comment surfaced in the fallout and reportedly did not sit well with Swift, as it was supposedly referring to her.

Swift was dragged into the legal mess after Baldoni claimed the Gossip Girl actress used the singer to intimidate him at a meeting with her husband about edits she had made to a rooftop scene in their film.

In his $400 million lawsuit, filed against Lively, her husband, their publicist Leslie Sloane and her publicity firm in January, Baldoni said Swift showed up and made him feel like he ‘needed to comply with Blake’s direction for the script’.

Lively then compared herself to Game of Thrones character Khaleesi in a series of text messages to Baldoni in which she referred to Reynolds and her best friend as her ‘dragons’.

In February, TMZ  claimed Swift resented Lively for ‘calling her one of her dragons and leveraging her name’, with a source claiming to the outlet that she was blindsided over the meeting with Baldoni.

The source claimed Swift came to Lively’s apartment when she was told by the actress and had ‘no idea’ that Baldoni would be there.

The source said Baldoni was about to leave after the two hour meeting when Swift walked in and was introduced to him for the ‘first and only time.’

Swift told Baldoni how excited she was to see the movie ‘because he was her friend’s boss’ according to the source.

In February, DailyMail.com reported that the singer, 35, had taken a ‘step back’ from their decade-long friendship after her shock involvement in Blake’s highly-publicised legal roller coaster. 

However, it now appears that Taylor and Blake have now made amends, with reports stating that the actress said sorry over her friend being dragged into the drama.

A source told NewsNation last month: ‘[Swift and Lively] have worked everything out. Blake apologized and they are talking again.’
