Blake Lively is focusing on issues she finds important as the lawsuit linked to her 2024 film It Ends with Us continues to make headlines.
Amid her legal battle with Justin Baldoni, the Los Angeles-born star shared info on domestic violence, more than a year after she was slammed for neglecting to speak on the critical topic during her initial promotion for the motion picture.
Lively, 38, who is wed to actor Ryan Reynolds, 48, remains in ongoing litigation with Baldoni, the director and leading man of their 2024 film, with multiple costars having been deposed.
Lively took to Instagram Stories Sunday to share harrowing statistics about the epidemic of domestic violence among teens in America.
The Gossip Girl star shared a pair of screen grabs in hopes of spreading awareness to her 42.2 million followers on the issue, and what can be done to remedy it moving forward.
Lively praised multiple organizations for their efforts to combat domestic violence, including the National Domestic Violence Hotline and Love Is Respect.

Lively said the respective organizations had been ‘working to educate teens about safe and healthy relationships.
The actress, who played the role of domestic violence victim Lily Bloom in It Ends with Us, also offered her own insights on what she believes are effective techniques to combat the problem.
‘Early and appropriate education is critical for both prevention and activation,’ Lively said.
Lively said that ‘in this time, digital and emotional violence is most [prevalent] and easily hidden … especially for teens.’
She added that the National Domestic Violence Hotline ‘has both real person phone support as well as AI chat resources, checklist, information, planning, advocacy, and more for all types of abuse, affecting all ages and genders.’
In the latest legal salvo linked to the hit 2024 romantic drama, Danny Greenberg a former WME agent who repped Baldoni, compared Lively’s conduct on the set of the film and in post-production to ‘extortion,’ according to a deposition Daily Mail obtained.
Greenberg assisted Baldoni, who directed the motion picture, in composing emails to Sony to flag behavior on Lively’s part describedby the agent as as ‘continued extortion and effort to gain control of the film’ in the deposition.
Greenberg subsequently qualified his use of the word, saying it was in reference to the conduct and growing tension between the companies Wayfair and Sony, as opposed to actual criminal extortion.

Lively in December sued Baldoni amid claims of sexual harassment during production of the motion picture, which was a hit when it arrived in theaters in August 2024
‘My use of the word extortion there was referencing just cumulative behavior that both the studio and [Wayfarer Studios] and Justin was having to manage,’ Greenberg said.
Lively claimed Baldoni had sexually harassed her while making It Ends with Us, which was a surprise hit when it arrived in theaters in August of 2024.
The motion picture, based off the 2016 novel by Colleen Hoover, earned $148 million in domestic box office, and $350 million globally – but whatever goodwill the film garnered has since been overshadowed by the allegations made by its stars.
In December of 2024, Lively named Baldoni in a lawsuit accusing him of sexual harassment, retaliatory conduct, and intentional infliction of emotional stress.
In her lawsuit, the Gossip Girl alum accused Baldoni of sexually harassing her in multiple ways – including body shaming her – and orchestrating a smear campaign against her to damage her reputation.
In her lawsuit, Lively named a number of Baldoni’s collaborators, including his company Wayfarer Studios, the studio’s CEO and financial backer, and PR personnel Melissa Nathan and Jennifer Abel.
Baldoni had initially asked for $250 million in damages from The New York Times mentioning a report it published on the topic, then added it into the $400 million lawsuit he filed this past January.
In the suit, Baldoni named Lively, her spouse Ryan Reynolds and her publicist Leslie Sloane, citing the aforementioned report in legal documents. It was thrown out of court this past June.
All parties have denied all of the allegations against them.
