Bindi Irwin Celebrates Milestone with Sweet Tribute to Chandler Powell

Bindi Irwin and husband Chandler Powell celebrated a huge relationship milestone on Friday.

The mother-of-one posted a very sweet tribute to her love on Instagram as she revealed it was the 12th anniversary of the day they met.

She uploaded two loved-up images of the pair, as Chandler, 29, lifted Bindi, 27, into his arms during their celebrations.

‘Twelve years ago I met the man of my dreams. Chandler, my heart is yours. Always and forever,’ Bindi captioned the post.

The photos saw the celebrity conservationist dressed in a sparkling strapless black gown dotted with glitter.

Sporting a sleek half-up hairstyle, she and Chandler leaned in close to each other as he held her, wearing his own black button-up.

The second picture was slightly more blurry, showing the happy couple laughing as Bindi leaned back in Chandler’s arms.

‘And my heart is yours. I love you so much,’ Chandler penned in the comments.

The matriarch of the family, Terri Irwin, also left a heartfelt message for the pair, writing: ‘And they lived happily ever after!’

Bindi and Chandler first met in November 2013 when the former professional wakeboarder visited Australia for a sporting competition.

He took a tour of Australia Zoo with Bindi as his guide, and the lovebirds quickly hit it off and kept in touch.

Bindi tied the knot with the Florida-born wakeboarder in an intimate ceremony at the start of the Covid pandemic on 25 March, 2020.

She told HELLO! magazine it was tough not having family and friends present for their nuptials as they were forced to follow the strict lockdown rules at the time.

Bindi said she would ‘love’ to have a second ceremony with guests who were unable to attend their official wedding, their daughter Grace Warrior is a bit older.

The couple welcomed Grace on 25 March, 2021, exactly one year after they exchanged vows at Australia Zoo.

Nowadays, they are temporarily living in the US as Bindi’s brother Robert competes on Dancing With The Stars.

Bindi announced the move during an Instagram video in September, telling fans she and her family were relocating to Los Angeles while Robert starred on the show.

‘Australia Zoo will always be home, but we are here to support my incredible brother on DWTS,’ she said at the time.

Bindi reminded fans of when she won the US version of DWTS 10 years ago, describing it as a ‘life-changing experience’.

‘Now my little brother is going to be on the show. I can’t wait to support him and be in the audience,’ she added.
