Justin Hemmes treats his Merivale staff to the wildest party of the year every January and he spared no expense for his latest shindig.
The billionaire pub baron hosted a rave at Sydney nightclub Ivy on Monday that kicked off at 2pm and ran for a full 40 hours.
The venue was decorated with the bizarre addition of 800 cuddly plush toys as well as enormous blow up animals in psychedelic colours, smiley face balloons and yellow stars.
The theme for the event was ”90s Good Vibes’ and the Ivy was transformed into a ‘music festival time capsule’ Hemmes told The Daily Telegraph on Tuesday.
‘It’s a pretty epic and iconic annual event that takes many months of planning,’ he said.

Over 5000 Merivale staff partied into the small hours while being entertained by 30 DJs, a number of skaters performing 90s choreography, theatrical performances and rave dancers.
Food was provided by a pop up canteen from Mumu restaurant with 4000 cheeseburger spring rolls and 2000 slices of pizza on offer along with fresh fruit, the publication reports.
The 51-year-old had his model girlfriend Madeline Holtznagel, 27, on his arm and she was dressed to impress.
Madeline stole the show in a barely-there blue bikini top that barely covered her bust and was adorned with teardrop jewels.

She matched it with sheer tights with racy cut-outs at the sides in lilac and blue tones.
Madeline added to her futuristic look with a metallic purse and reflective bug eye sunglasses.
For makeup, she chose a pink and blue palette with a nude lipstick and wore her blonde locks down in mermaid waves.
Justin meanwhile went for a hippy theme in an orange shirt and green striped animal print vest along with marijuana themed green corduroy trousers.

Justin’s huge parties for his staff have become folklore at Merivale, and are traditionally held at the end of January after the Christmas period when the hospitality industry is quieter.
At last year’s party, Justin thanked his staff for the ‘best year of his life’.
‘I am so grateful to you all and I want you to have the best night tonight. Look around, this is electric, it is magic, and it is all because of you guys.
‘So thank you for the best year of my life and here is to a better year ahead!’ he said to rousing applause.
