Billionaire Adrian Portelli Wrecks Bathroom with Sledgehammer

Adrian Portelli has destroyed a My Reno Rules bathroom with a sledgehammer. 

Contestants Michelle and Emma Sweeny unveiled the en suite on Tuesday's episode, which was condemned as 'dark, drab, dreary and claustrophobic'. 

After the mother and daughter's design choices were slammed by the judges, Portelli, 37, polled his 1.5million followers, asking them whether he should destroy the bathroom. 

A staggering 96 per cent responded 'yes', while only four per cent wanted the controversial en suite – which features black fixtures – left intact.

On Wednesday, Portelli responded to fans on his Instagram Stories. 

'In a landslide poll, you guys want me to smash this toilet,' the high-flying billionaire announced, while brandishing a demolition tool.

'I'm not gonna smash...' Portelli said as he clumsily lost control of the heavy hammer, which then crashed into the bathroom's black toilet, crushing it instantly.

Supposedly shocked by his 'mishap', Portelli then let the sledge smash into the black tiling on the walled shower.

With comic exaggeration, the entrepreneur, who is a sponsor of My Reno Rules, then swung the hammer at one of the black basins, shattering it.

He then dropped the sledgehammer to the floor and walked out.

Ahead of posting the cheeky joke video, Portelli shared a screenshot of Michelle and Emma's controversial black toilet with the caption 'IYKYK', online slang for 'if you know, you know'.

Daily Mail has reached out to Portelli asking him to confirm the authenticity of the video.

It comes after judges Julia Green, Neal Whitaker and Simon Cohen were lost for words as they commenced their walk-through of Michelle and Emma's bathroom.

'I'm just confused,' a shocked Simon said as he appraised Emma and Michelle's design choices, which included black basins and a matching black toilet.
