Bill Goldsmith and Isabelle Eisermann Speak Out After Daughter Olive’s Tragic Death

The Bachelorette’s Bill Goldsmith and his partner Isabelle Eisermann have broken their silence following the tragic stillborn death of their daughter Olive.

The couple shared a joint statement to social media on Sunday night thanking fans for their support during this incredibly difficult time.

Alongside a heartbreaking photo of them tenderly cradling their stillborn baby, they wrote some appreciative words.

‘We’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the support and love for our beautiful Olive, not only from family and friends, but also from complete strangers,’ they began.

‘When we shared the loss of Olive, we did so because we promised to say her name, to talk about her, to never hide her, to be proud of her.

‘She will always be our first child and the one who made us parents.’

They then revealed the surprising reason they decided to share their heartbreaking story.

‘My hope was that others who have experienced something similar might feel seen and heard. I never imagined just how many people it would reach or the impact it would have,’ they wrote.

‘I am so grateful for the many parents who have reached out to share their story with me since we shared Olive. I will always be here to listen.’

Earlier this month, the couple shared the heartbreaking news that their daughter was tragically stillborn.

The pair revealed the announcement on Instagram on alongside a gallery of black and white images, in which they cradle their baby girl.

‘Our sweet girl, Olive May Goldsmith, was born sleeping on Thursday, 31st October at 4.14am at 27 weeks,’ they began.

‘She put up the strongest fight, especially these last few weeks, with all odds against her and continued to surprise the doctors and midwives with her strength to hold on, until she no longer could.’

The couple added they were still processing the news.

‘We have never known a love like this and have never felt a pain like this. The words “I’m sorry, there is no heartbeat” will haunt us forever,’ they wrote.

The couple said they spent three days with Olive in hospital after her birth.

‘We cuddled endlessly, showered her with kisses, dressed her, read to her, sang to her, and took her outside. We told her every second how perfect and loved she is,’ they wrote.

‘Leaving Olive was the hardest thing we will ever have to do. No parent should ever have to say goodbye to their baby or walk out of the hospital without them.

‘We love you more than you could ever imagine, Olive. You were a fighter until the end and kept your mum and dad strong throughout the most heartbreaking journey.’

The couple’s friends quickly took to the comment section to offer their words of support.

‘This broke my heart, I’m so sorry guys. Sending you all my love,’ wrote influencer Mitchell Orval and social media star Chloe Szepanowski added: ‘Sending you guys so much love. I’m so sorry.’

The pair first shared the news they were expecting their first child in September, posting an image of a cake surrounded by ultrasound frames.

‘Baby Goldsmith arriving Jan 2026! Can’t believe you’re half way grown already,’ Isabelle shared with family and friends.

Goldsmith shot to fame as an early frontrunner on Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette in 2018.
