Christopher Biggins has weighed in on the latest Strictly Come Dancing abuse claims as he took a savage swipe at the contestants on Tuesday.
The actor, 75, has had very little sympathy for the celebrity dancers who have competed under the glitter ball as he warned ‘don’t do the show’ if you don’t want ‘to be hit across the knuckles’.
He told Times Radio that the show is a ‘tough gig’ and contestants need to know that going on to the show and those complaining about the professionals is ‘rubbish’.
Speaking to Alexis Conran, Christopher explained: ‘It’s a tough, tough gig and you’ve got to know that. If you don’t know it, don’t do it. Or if you don’t want to be hit across the knuckles, don’t do the show.
‘This whole saga that’s going on at the moment annoys me because I’ve been asked and I would not do it because it is very, very difficult,’ he added.

Christopher revealed he had been asked to appear on the show in the past but turned it down.
He explained: ‘This whole saga that’s going on at the moment annoys me because I’ve been asked and I would not do it because it is very, very difficult.
‘You have to really be light on your feet, which I think I am but you have to work hard. I mean, it’s one of the worst, not the worst, it’s one of the most hardworking reality TV shows there is on television.
‘The whole business of these people complaining about their professional dancers is rubbish because you have to work hard.
‘If you want to be good and you want to win, you have to work hard and put the hours in.
‘I certainly couldn’t do it and obviously a lot of people who’ve been complaining couldn’t do it and they shouldn’t be doing the show.’
In recent months the upcoming 20th series was thrown into chaos when professional dancers Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice were accused of abusive behavior by celebrity partners, with a verdict on an investigation into the latter expected to be announced within days.
The scandal erupted when Sherlock actress, Amanda Abbington, quit the show in 2023.

Then, in July, it emerged that Graziano Di Prima had been sacked from Strictly for ‘kicking’ his partner, Love Island star Zara McDermott

Last month, two other professionals, Ola Jordan and Janette Manrara were also brought into the drama.
Will Bayley claimed that he couldn’t walk for six months after his injury on the show as he was made to redo a jump that caused the lifelong injury by Janette.
