Big Brother announced a huge shake-up during Tuesday night’s spin-off Late and Live.
Host AJ Odudu, 35, dropped the bombshell that the housemates will be no longer be required to do their nominations face-to-face as opposed to doing them in the private Diary Room.
The new idea was originally put in order to shake-up the house and cause more distrust amongst the housemates.
But just four days after the new plan was revealed, ITV decided to get rid of the requirement.
Announcing the bombshell, AJ said: ‘They [the housemates] previously thought that they’re were going to be face-to-face nominations but we now know they were in secret [she laughs].

‘Big Brother does like to keep us guessing, doesn’t he.’
Fans gushed to X, formerly known as Twitter, to discuss the random change in nominations this week.
Some wrote: ‘Why is the face to face nominations cancelled? Is it “too brutal” for Big Brother’.
‘Big brother taking away the face to face nominations ?! Must be to do with the rule break and thinking they’ll all pick the same people? Ruining the drama’
‘Big Brother decided NOT to go ahead with face to face nominations.
‘Big Brother could’ve been sassy and said, “Since housemates like to discuss nominations when they’re not supposed to, nominations today will be face-to-face.”’
Last week, Will Best disclosed the information that the housemates were having to now reveal the nominations in front of each other.
Will, 38, told viewers: ‘Look, next week is going to be spicier than [contestant] Dylan’s chicken.
‘I can reveal that on Tuesday there will be nominations again but – they are going to be face to face.’

‘Face to face nominations. This is what makes Big Brother.’
‘Yinrun will be having a tough time during face to face nominations. She’s the type of person who hates hurting people’s feelings which is fair enough, but it is Big Brother after all.’
‘I think it works with the Hunger Games theme so I’m down – I think it’ll sew more distrust.’ ‘I wanna see face to face next week’ (sic).
Paul and Dylan became the latest housemates to be booted from the show in a double eviction.
The pair faced the wrath of the live audience and were booed even before their names were announced by AJ and Will.
Paul, 24, emerged from the house to face the booing crowd just 24-hours after his foul-mouthed outburst saw the show’s live feed pulled off air.

Immediately after his elimination, Paul reflected on his argument with Trish Balusa – who had accused him of being a ‘bully’ in the lead-up to his eviction and explained that he and his rival were ‘very similar’ in personality.
Speaking to AJ and Will, he said: ‘I won’t lie, it was overwhelming. I did kind of expect it. I know I’m quite a loud person. When people say you forget the cameras are there, you really really do.
‘I think me and Trish are very, very similar. I do like to wind people up and I think that’s part of the game. I could see why last night she thought that but in the house we all did wind each other up.’
During his time in the house, Paul had been seen growing close to dancer Olivia, 23, although he insisted their relationship is strictly platonic as he reminded viewers he has a girlfriend.
He said: ‘On the outside, I have a lot of girlfriends. Like, friends who are girls. I’ve got a girlfriend – she’s sat right there. Olivia was a very similar character to me so we’re just good friends I think. We’re like-minded people.’
Next Dylan, 39, took the walk of shame but managed to put on a brave face saying had been ‘expecting it’.
Again, greeted by boos, host Will attempted to reassure the DJ saying: ‘It’s all a pantomime’.
He had been taken on role of house chef but fell out with housemates Trish and Noky when they had been paired up for a special task earlier in the week and nominated him for a separate eviction.
Although he survived that eviction, he accused the girls of ‘black-on-black’ crime and admitted that moment is probably why he was voted out by the public on Friday’s episode.
