Big Brother viewers were quick to praise Hallie after she came out as transgender to her fellow housemates on Monday.
Fans branded the youth worker, 18, ‘brave’ and ‘honest’ before going on to pay tribute to the other contestants who they claimed were nothing but ‘respectful’.
Hallie had chosen not to tell her fellow series contestants her story on the launch night but had a change of hear the following day.
However during a conversation round the dining table she said: ‘Hey guys, I just have something to say. Yesterday I feel like I wasn’t being 100% authentic in myself.’
She added: ‘I thought I’d let everyone know I’m trans, if you didn’t know already. I just thought I’d make that loud and clear. I’m a trans woman if you didn’t know.’

Hallie’s fellow housemates gave her a hug, with Chanelle saying: ‘Good for you. That’s very brave of you.’
While Dylan said: ‘This is a moment. I like it.’
Hallie continued: ‘I don’t know why I was nervous,’ prompting Farida to say: ‘You don’t need to be nervous.’
