Big Brother Star Shares Secrets of Her Budget Wedding After Matching Implants with Mom

Krystal Hipwell (née Forscutt) has lifted the lid on her budget wedding to Neil Hipwell.

The former Big Brother star, who famously got matching breast implants with her mother, took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal how she saved money when it came to her nuptials in 2013.

’12 years!!! How did we get so old @neilhipwell,’ the 39-year-old began the post.

‘Remember when we met almost 15 years ago and you literally used the pick up line “I can build you anything!”

‘Well I haven’t forgotten about that one …and I’m gonna hold you to your word until the day you die!’ she shared.

‘But seriously I Love you so much and I still choose you every day (except for maybe one week a month when I would rather you not breathe around me).’

She then detailed how the couple cut costs on their big day in a series of pictures.

Krystal revealed the pair tied the knot on a Monday at an old Byron Bay church that cost just $400.

The reality star also turned to vintage finds to save some money, wearing a 1920s flower crown and sourcing her wedding ring from an antique store for just $350.

Every piece of crockery, tablecloth and décor was sourced from op shops, while her reception dress was a $70 Etsy find.

‘& I wouldn’t change a thing,’ she wrote in the final slide.

‘Because at the end of the day none of that matters, all that matters is that we still choose each other every single day!’

Krystal first shot to national attention in 2006 when she starred on Big Brother alongside her mother, Karen, who gave birth to Krystal when she was just 16.

During their time in the house, Karen was evicted in week three, while Krystal ultimately finished in sixth place.

They were once known as the glamorous mother-daughter duo who famously underwent matching breast enlargements.

However, in 2021, Krystal had her breast implants removed.

She said at the time that the surgery marked the start of a ‘new chapter’ in her life and she first got her implants ‘as a young girl searching for approval’.

She added that she had one regret about the explant surgery, which was that she didn’t get it done sooner.

‘Starting to feel more like myself. The pain has been pretty intense these past few days and having three kids stuck at home in lockdown (plus home learning) well it hasn’t exactly been the best timing,’ she said on social media at the time.

Following her stint on Big Brother, Krystal enjoyed a brief modelling career, appearing in FHM, Zoo, and Ralph magazines.

Now she is a property mogul and a mum to three children, son Sunny, 10, daughter Nakoda, seven, and son Huska, five.
