Big Brother viewers have slammed the new series claiming the show has ‘gone woke’ after it’s diverse line-up of new housemates was revealed.
The reality show returned after a five year hiatus on Sunday with the latest contestants featuring disabled DJ Dylan, 39, Multiple Sclerosis sufferer Kerry, 40, and practising Muslim Farida, 50.
With Kerry making history as she become the first ever housemate to enter via motorised scooter.
But taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, viewers were left divided with some claiming the series was ‘ticking boxes’ with it’s choice of participants.
One wrote: ‘Big Brother has checked all diversity boxes with it’s cast’,

With a second writing: ‘Could Big Brother get any more woke?’.
And: ‘Big Brother is so woke’.
Someone else commented: ‘Big Brother has literally just hit the quota for every type of person. Absolute woke culture joke’.
However other viewers were quick to point out that Big Brother has always featured a line-up of diverse participants.
Saying: ‘Very diverse, love it – they wouldn’t interact on the outside otherwise’.
And: ‘This season isn’t ‘woke’ it’s just like every other Big Brother cast from the 2000s. It’s all about reflecting the real people in society’.
Another wrote: ‘Big Brother being inclusive and people calling it woke’.
One more fan said: ‘Not to be dramatic, but I love Big Brother is basically the only TV programme that shows what the people in this country are actually like’.

It come after Big Brother viewers were left fuming after learning Sunday’s launch of the brand new series was in fact pre recorded.
The iconic reality show’s original run always featured a live opening as the contestants entered the famous house, however ITV opted to film their first episode 24 hours earlier.
Hosts AJ Odudu, 35, and Will Best, 38, introduced 16 new housemates to audiences as the series made it’s epic return to TV after being axed in 2018.

But taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans branded the decision to pre-record the show ‘dreadful’ and claimed the reboot was a poor ‘Tesco value’ imitation of the original series.
One wrote: ‘The fact that Big Brother isn’t live has rubbed me the wrong way already’.
A second wrote: ‘The artificial looking house, the lack of a walk way, it not being live, the rush and no Davina, it just feels like a Tesco value version of Big Brother’.
Someone else said: ‘Can’t believe Big Brother isn’t live …it’s the best part’.

A sixth commented: ‘Bruh. Even Big Brother’s voice is pre-recorded. All of this feels so contrived’.
And a seventh fumed: ‘Watching it pre-recorded is not quite the same, bring back Big Brother live 24-7.
While other fans were loving the new set up with one writing: ‘I won’t lie, I have missed Big Brother!’.
And a second said: ‘ I love this Big Brother already’.
