Big Brother Australia: Holly, 31, and Jane, 67, Clash in Epic Feud

Drama has reached a peak on Big Brother Australia after an inter-generational feud exploded among the participants.

Holly, 31, and Colin, 21, set tongues wagging this week after striking up a romance in the house that sent temperatures soaring.

However, after pashing under the sheets and laying on the PDA thick, one housemate has had enough.

‘For me, I don’t want to walk in on it. I’m the oldest here. My opinions are my opinions,’ 67-year-old Jane ranted after calling a meeting with the housemates.

‘If my sons were lying on the couch at my house having a big snog session, I’d probably give them a whack,’ she added.

Despite Holly disagreeing with the retired mum, saying that wasn’t the case, Jane continued with her tirade.

‘I don’t want to walk in on it! I’m sitting on a bed and trying to have a conversation and I can hear you pashing under a blanket.’

Holly hit back, saying: ‘We were talking. It’s a shared space!’

The conversation saw Jane storm off from the meeting, but not before adding: ‘I’m a single person. Do it in the corner!

‘I’m in here with all you young people. I don’t wanna see that s**t. To me it is inappropriate, in my face, with my new friends and I can hear you kissing under a blanket! End of!’

While tensions seem to be at an all time high among the housemates, fans have been flooding social media with praise for the ‘authentic’ and ‘refreshing’ new cast, calling it a return to the show’s original roots.

‘To give the show credit, I like the fact that viewers are given the platform to watch the cast authentically,’ one fan wrote.

‘Unlike every other reality show currently on air that manufactures villains and controversy. This makes me excited.’

Another viewer added: ‘Mel was fantastic, the cast lacks a little diversity but seem like a good, NORMAL bunch. The look and feel of the whole show is Big Brother. They delivered on everything they promised.’

While it’s only the beginning, several housemates have already captured the audience’s attention.

One breakout star appears to be the pash-guilty Colin, a cheeky MMA fighter with a mullet and moustache who describes himself as a ‘mama’s boy.’

Viewers praised his humour and carefree energy, with one fan joking: ‘Loving the bromance with Vinnie and Colin,’ while another wrote, ‘Colin is actually funny and is in his underwear for some reason.’

Many long-time fans say this reboot feels closer to the Big Brother they grew up with.

‘I appreciate they didn’t try to outdo themselves with a big night one twist,’ one person wrote. ‘The show feels natural, and the cast interactions are genuinely entertaining.’

Others highlighted the mix of personalities, from school teacher Emily, whose germophobia promises comedy gold, to single mum Coco, who’s already been dubbed a ‘chaos queen’ for her razor-sharp wit.

‘Gen Z is not ready for old school #BBAU,’ joked one fan, referencing the season’s back-to-basics format.
