Big Brother Australia fans have blasted Channel Ten for airing live footage of a contestant getting dressed.
Thanks to popular demand, the rebooted franchise returned to its original format this year, bringing back live nominations, evictions and a 24/7 livestream.
However, viewers became concerned this week after noticing Abiola was captured in a state of partial undress while on live camera.
‘Poor Abiola was getting changed in bed with the lights off, but the night vision was on and everybody could see when watching the live, no camera change or anything,’ one online fan commented.
‘That’s the time the camera should have gone to the laundry,’ one user remarked.
‘Absolutely, the second she started changing the camera should have moved,’ the original commenter replied.

A third fan also chimed in: ‘So ridiculous. They take us to the laundry when someone says ‘f**k’ more than once, but won’t for that’.Â
The original poster replied: ‘Yup, exactly. I can’t believe they didn’t change it’.Â
It comes after host Mel Tracina promised fans that this season would be family-friendly.
‘We’re keeping it PG,’ she told News Corp before the season began, noting that while fans can view the livestream, all content ‘will be moderated to make sure that everything broadcast is up to broadcast standards’.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia about the benefits of having a 24/7 livestream, Mel said:Â ‘You don’t have to worry about getting a bad edit, or being the ‘season villain, because viewers can log in at any time and see what the [housemates] are up to.’
In contrast, Big Brother Australia was known for pushing boundaries during its heyday in the early 2000s – especially with its adults-only companion show, Big Brother Uncut.
Airing late at night, the spin-off gave viewers an unfiltered look inside the house, featuring raunchy conversations, nudity, and sexually charged moments that were censored from the main program.
It became infamous for its controversial content, particularly after the 2006 ‘turkey slap’ incident, which caused national outrage and led to tighter broadcasting regulations.

This is not the only scrutiny this season of Big Brother Australia has faced.
Channel Ten was forced to respond to online backlash surrounding a brutal challenge that left one contestant weeping on Monday night’s episode.
During the episode, Michael was asked to rate his fellow housemates from most intelligent to least intelligent.
Big Brother promised that if he ranked them in the same order as the Australian public ranked them, the housemates would earn $50 towards their weekly shopping budget.
The awkward challenge culminated in aspiring MMA fighter Colin being placed last.
While Colin initially seemed to take the harsh ranking in good humour, he later withdrew from the group and broke down in tears – first hiding in the bathroom, then retreating to the diary room.
The heartbreaking footage sparked uproar online, with fans slamming the franchise for allowing the 21-year-old to be reduced to such a vulnerable state.
When approached for comment, a spokesperson for Ten defended the inclusion of the challenge, which appeared in the network’s original Big Brother franchise.
‘House tasks have been a mainstay of Big Brother since its beginning and are played in formats all across the globe,’ they said.
‘Big Brother is known as the original social experiment for a reason – the show puts housemates in situations that spark conversation and emotion, reveal social dynamics and help build resolutions and relationships.’
‘Featuring beats from the OG format, like the ranking task, is yet another way Big Brother is returning to the show’s iconic roots in 2025.’
They also made it clear that Big Brother had actually consoled Colin after his breakdown, providing footage of the heartfelt moment.
Following the ranking task, Big Brother shared some moving words in the diary room.
‘Colin, intelligence can be perceived and interpreted in many different ways. Big Brother wants you to believe in yourself. Never doubt yourself and don’t ever think you’re not good enough. Big Brother thinks you’re pretty great.’
