Sex and the City fans with some extra cash to burn will have an opportunity to bring home an iconic item from the show: Carrie Bradshaw’s tutu.
The tutu worn by Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw seen in the opening title sequence of the original HBO series will be going under the hammer as part of the Unstoppable: Signature Styles of Iconic Women in Fashion auction.
There will also be an iconic Marc Jacobs newsprint gown from the show, along with top-dollar dresses from Princess Diana and Grace Kelly.
The oyster white three-tier tutu was found in a five-dollar bin by costume designer Patricia Field while shopping for the series in New York’s garment district.
While Parker was supposed to wear a Spring 1998 Marc Jacobs dress worn by Kate Moss on the runway, Fields wanted something not specific to that time period.
