Better Homes and Gardens star Charlie Albone and his wife Juliet Love offload four bedroom home in Sydney’s Maroubra for $3.8million

Celebrity gardener Charlie Albone has scored a major real estate win after putting his amazing home in Sydney’s eastern suburbs under the hammer for close to $4million.

The Better Homes and Gardens star and his interior director wife, Juliet Love, originally listed the beautiful four-bedroom, two-bathroom pad in Maroubra for $3.4million.

The sale ultimately went through for over $3.85million after the couple relisted it for $3.6million.

The final price was not disclosed reported the Wentworth Courier on Friday after the property was snapped up by a couple in nearby Coogee.

Located 10kms from the CBD, Albone and Love snapped up the house in 2019 for $2,355,000.

They then splashed out on major renovations converting the original two-storey red-brick semi into a sprawling and stylish home which features amazing sculptured gardens and bright, resort style atmosphere.

Included in the makeover was the installation of a pool and spa.

The publication reports that Love, who also appears on Better Homes and Gardens, created the new interiors, while Albone looked after the new garden.

His work was even recognised at the Landscape Association’s 2024 Landscape Excellence Awards.

Love’s eye for design, meanwhile, can be felt thought the home, with imported fixtures and materials.

Set on a 324-square-metre block, the home features four spacious bedrooms with built-in wardrobes.

There is also a gourmet kitchen with an integrated fridge and dishwasher as well as an eye-catching marble splash back and imported Nicolazzi brass tap-ware.

The property also boasts duct gas heating, air conditioning in the living room as well as house-wide water filtration.

Features include an automated irrigation system serviced by a 5000 litre water tank.

Highlights include a cabana which features a scalloped marble wall and a thoughtful open plan layout.

The ground floor hosts a spacious living area that opens out to the backyard, which is perfectly designed for entertainer.

Also on the ground floor is a private study.

The second floor is home to three bedrooms, one of which boasts its own private balcony.

The listing comes after the Channel Seven stars finally sold their Central Coast retreat for $2.2million in September.

The sprawling four-bedroom, three-bathroom property first hit the market in February with a price guide of $3million to $3.2million.

Failing to sell, the 2.07hectare property went back on the market in March with a revised listing of $2.45million to $2.65million.

Charlie and Juliet purchased the spread in 2012 for $840,000, reports The Daily Telegraph.

Located in Ourimbah, 92kms from Sydney, the highlight of the splendid rural retreat is a beautiful ‘Engish’ style cottage, surrounded by superbly maintained sculptured gardens.

Other highlights include a separate ‘unit’ which boasts its own kitchen and bedroom.

There’s also a delightful secluded backyard entertainment deck, which is hidden under a vine-covered alcove, and a saltwater pool.

Other features include a classic verandah, a vegetable garden and a fire pit.
