Bette Midler was spotted for the first time since her former co-star Diane Keaton’s shock death over the weekend.

The award-winning actress, 79, bundled up for a mid-day outing and enjoyed a stroll through New York City on Monday.

The star braved the rainy day weather in a warm look. She dressed for comfort in casual yet put-together outfit, layering a gray puffer vest over a fitted, navy blue hoodie.

She wore medium-wash jeans with the bottom rolled up to reveal a houndstooth detail.

Midler was seen walking out of a building with a hot pink shopping bag and her purse in the same hand.

Her outing comes after sharing a heartbreaking tribute to Keaton following her sudden death.

Midler completed her outfit with light gray, tall socks with black, leather loafers for her outing.

She stepped out just a couple days after the tragic news of her former co-star’s shock passing.

Keaton died at the age of 79 in California, a family spokesperson confirmed on Saturday.

The Hocus Pocus star had previously starred alongside Keaton as well as Goldie Hawn in the 1996 comedy-drama, The First Wives Club.

The following day, Midler took to social media to share a gushing post and emotional tribute to her late co-star and longtime friend.

She shared a black-and-white photo of her pal and began: ‘The brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Keaton has died.’

She continued: ‘I cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me.

‘She was hilarious, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star. What you saw was who she was…oh, la, la la!’

Their fellow co-star Goldie Hawn also joined in and penned an emotional tribute with a lengthy, heartfelt message.

The actress, who is also 79, took to Instagram to share a black-and-white, throwback photo of Keaton smiling in her statement outfit.

‘Diane, we aren’t ready to lose you,’ Hawn wrote in a heartbreaking message alongside the portrait.

‘You’ve left us with a trail of fairy dust, filled with particles of light and memories beyond imagination. How do we say goodbye? What words can come to mind when your heart is broken?’

She added: ‘You never liked praise, so humble, but now you can’t tell me to “shut up” honey. There was, and will be, no one like you.’

Hawn also reflected on filming with Keaton back in the 90s and paid tribute to her friend’s legacy.

‘You stole the hearts of the world and shared your genius with millions, making films that made us laugh and cry in ways only you could,’ she wrote.

‘I was blessed to make First Wives Club with you, our days starting with coffee in the makeup trailer, laughing and joking, right through to the very last day of filming. It was a roller coaster of love.’

Her heartbreaking post continued: ‘We agreed to grow old together, and one day, maybe live together with all our girlfriends. Well, we never got to live together, but we did grow older together. Who knows… maybe in the next life.

‘Shine your fairy dust up there, girlfriend,’ she wrote. ‘I’m going to miss the hell out of you. My heart goes out to your beautiful children, Dex and Duke. I love you.’

A family spokesperson confirmed to People on Saturday that the Academy Award-winning actress passed away in California.

Her loved ones have requested privacy as they mourn her loss.

Keaton never married but adopted two children, 29-year-old daughter Dexter and 25-year-old son Duke.

The actress leaves behind an amazing legacy in Hollywood, with some of her performances in the 1970’s hailed as the decade’s best.
