Bethenny Frankel let her social media followers believe she wanted to take the plunge and get a tattoo that she deemed to be ‘meaningful.’
The outing in Long Island, New York comes just days after she blasted Chanel for being ‘elitist’ after refusing her entry into a store in Chicago without an appointment, which she thinks was due to her being dressed down at the time.
Appearing to troll Chanel, the reality star and entrepreneur made her way to Vibes Ink Tattoo in Riverhead, New York on Sunday, a town situated on the north shore of Long Island, where she got a fake, painted body tattoo.
Opting to document the experience in two TikTok videos, the Skinnygirl mogul set up the clips by standing outside the establishment.
‘Come with me to get a tattoo. Let’s do this,’ she announced off the top, while looking stylish in a form-fitting white tank top, denim skirt, cowboy boots, and a light tan cowboy hat over her long dark locks.
Bethenny Frankel, 53, announced she wanted a ‘meaningful’ tattoo when she went into the Vibes Ink shoppe in Riverhead, New York on Sunday
After playing the mystery game, eventually The Real Housewives Of New York City alum walked out of the Vibes Ink with a drawn on tattoo of the Coco Chanel logo, which comes days after she blasted the luxury brand for not allowing her in a store in Chicago
From there, Frankel walks into the shoppe and rings the front desk bell and is greeted by the co-owner Janita, who runs the shoppe with her husband and lead artist, Taboo.
They proceed to walk past several customers and tattoo artists in the front room, and again in the second room, until she meets up with Taboo, another artist Emma, and then Taboo and Janita’s son, who also works at the family-owned business.
‘Family business: husband, wife and son… respect,’ Frankel, 53, shared in a selfie shot that showed her standing in front of the third room where she’s will momentarily get her tattoo done.
She then shows her viewers various shots of the different artists at work on their clients.
Eventually, The Real Housewives Of New York alum sits down for her consultation with Taboo, and tells him: ‘I want something meaningful.’
The owner and artist asks her where she’s planning to have the body ink done on her body, which she quickly answers by tapping on her right upper arm.
Taboo reassures Frankel with a little theatrics by pulling on one of his latex gloves to make a sound and then tells her: ‘I got you.’
As the work begins to grab all the essentials out of the shelves and on to his work table, the pair start moving to the groove of the hip-hop music being played in the shoppe’s sound system.
There’s also a close-up look at Taboo appearing to get his gear, including what looked like a tattoo gun, along with black ink into small cups.
After all the preparations were done and in order, Taboo asked Frankel, ‘You sure about this?’ And she didn’t hesitate in responding confidently, ‘Yes.’

Without revealing what kind of body ink design she’s getting, Taboo begins the work, but viewers never get to hear and see the tattoo gin plunge in and out of her skin
Eventually, Taboo declared, ‘That’s it we are done,’ which prompted the New York City native to thank him and give him a hug
Taboo proceeded to clean her upper right arm and then began his work on her piece.
Mind you, viewers never get to hear and see the sounds of the device plunging in and out of her skin.
Eventually, Taboo declared, ‘That’s it we are done,’ which prompted the New York City native to thank him and give him a hug, although she doesn’t give a look at the finished piece.
The mystery would be answered when Frankel walked out of the Vibes Ink shoppe past her friend, giving a clear and up-close look at the finished temporary tattoo.
One glaring sign that she got a drawn-on tattoo is that there wasn’t a bandage with a thin layer of tattoo jelly or moisturizer over the artwork, which is then covered with plastic wrap over the area.
After dropping part two of her Chanel troll on TikTok, many fans and followers couldn’t resist commenting on it, with most people praising her for being funny and clever.
‘This is hilarious! Girl you had me believing you seriously went to get a tattoo.’ one person wrote, while another similarly shared, ‘This is HYSTERICAL. Well played.’
Many other users also got in on the joke, writing, ‘Omg that’s freaking hysterical love it’ and ‘Just when I think you can’t top the last one… well played ma’am, well played.’
After giving thanks and saying her goodbyes, the New York City native plays coy and does reveal what she got tattooed on her arm
As Frankel emerges outside to the street, viewers get a first-look at her tattoo, which strangely enough is the Coco Chanel logo, albeit a fake, painted on version
Frankel was almost laughing when she walked past the camera with her Coco Chanel tattoo
These two videos come in the wake of her not being allowed into a Chanel store in Chicago this past week, which she called ‘elitist’ and ‘exclusionary,’ because she didn’t have an appointment
The second video ends with her leaving the shoppe and walking across the street

One person called the videos and her scheme ‘hysterical’ and ‘well played’
Other people also revealed they thought this was ‘hysterical’

Then there were people who weren’t sure if her tattoo was real or not, but others would clarify that this was indeed another staged act by the Skinnygirl mogul
Then there were others who weren’t completely sure whether this was another of Frankel’s antics.
‘Wait did u really get a Chanel tattoo I’m dying love,’ one person asked, for which a fellow user responded, ‘No it’s one of her staged acts. He drew it on.’
In the end, Frankel got the Coco Chanel logo painted on her upper right arm, which is ‘meaningful’ to her because a few days earlier she labeled the brand ‘elitist’ and ‘exclusionary’ after not being allowed into that Chicago store without an appointment.
‘I didn’t realize we weren’t allowed to walk into stores anymore,’ Frankel, who wore a white t-shirt, joked in her TikTok video on Wednesday. ‘Gotta get a pap smear appointment and all to walk into Chanel. No big deal.’
The Bethenny Ever After star surmised that she wasn’t allowed in because she was dressed fashionably down after landing in Chicago and going straight to the area where the store is located without changing into more high-end attire.
Then, the next day, Frankel returned to that same store in a chic, all-black head-to-toe Chanel outfit. And this time, she maintained she got into the establishment without an issue, which her friend documented in another TikTok video.
Frankel shared a video four days earlier blasting Chanel for refusing her entry into a store in Chicago, which she attributes to her being dressed down in the cloths she wore for her flight
‘I’m going into Chanel now dressed much differently than I was dressed yesterday. If they let me in because of how I look, Christmas is canceled,’ the Skinnygirl mogul said
The reality star maintains she was allowed into the store without an appointment 24 hours later because she was all dolled up in the high-end brand
‘No problem today,’ she quipped to her camera person, after leaving the boutique.
‘Chanel field trip…’ she wrote in a text overlay on the clip, shared to both her Instagram and TikTok.
Again, many of her fans were amused by the experiment, with some quoting Julia Roberts’ character Vivian Ward from the hit romantic-comedy film Pretty Woman (1990), for which she starred opposite Richard Gere.
In the movie. Roberts returns to a posh boutique on Rodeo Drive a day after being treated dismissively by the sales staff, who judged her appearance.
