The 53-year-old actor looked relaxed while cruising in his matte black BMW and puffing on a cigarette.

He was nicely dressed in a dark suit jacket and button-up white shirt while sporting a greying beard. 

It comes after the exes with a paintball party in Castaic over the weekend. 

In addition to Samuel, they also share Violet, 20, and Fin, 17.

During an appearance on Bustle's One Nightstand podcast in February, Garner explained: 'When your kids grow up in two separate households, I become mom and dad, and he becomes dad and mom.

'You kind of can't help it, right? Because you don't have the benefit of both sides, the yin and yang being in the same house, so you have to have a bit of both in the way you parent.

While appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show in February, Garner admitted her children think she is 'fully cringe.'

The 53-year-old actress said her brood finds her 'embarrassing.'

When asked what she does to gain 'cool points' from them, she said: 'I am fully cringe. I am only embarrassing.'

The former Alias star recently asked her offspring if they are planning to watch the second season of her latest Apple TV+ series, The Last Thing He Told Me.

'They were like, "Do you need us to?"' she hilariously revealed.

'But I mean, kids don't want to see their parents in... right? They don't want to see us cry, or see us have a romantic scene, or anything. We're just embarrassing.'
