Bek Giles Tuscan Wedding: Sydney Elite Gather Again

The celebrations aren't over for high-profile defamation lawyer Rebekah Giles and her property developer husband Tim Price.

The couple pulled off a contender for society wedding of the year last month with their Opera House nuptials, attended by a Who's Who of the nation's legal, political and media elite.

As a friend of the bride, I was lucky enough to score an invite and it was spectacular.

The newlyweds, together with their blended family of six children, have since taken the festivities to Tuscany, where round two unfolded among the rolling hills of the Italian countryside.

Among those who made the long-haul pilgrimage were socialite Ellie Aitken, AFL premiership coach Simon Goodwin and his wife Kristine Brooks, celebrity hairdresser Moriah Rota and her businessman fiancé Justin Broomhead, along with formidable silk Sue Chrysanthou, SC, and an enviable contingent of Sydney's legal glitterati.

Bek and Tim's Sydney shindig on June 6 had drawn a similarly exclusive cross-section of Australia's establishment, with barristers, solicitors, business heavyweights and television personalities descending on Bennelong Point for cocktails overlooking Sydney Harbour before a lavish reception inside the Opera House.

The guest list read like the seating plan for a Logies after-party crossed with the Bar Association annual dinner. 

Former NSW premier Gladys Berejiklian attended with partner Arthur Moses, SC.

Meanwhile, former Today show host Karl Stefanovic and his wife, Jasmine,

Olympic boxer Harry Garside, whom Giles successfully represented in 2023, was also on hand to celebrate.

The high-profile couple were introduced by billionaire investor Brae Sokolski and welcomed a child together in 2020.

Of course, the wedding itself wasn't even the first act.

Only weeks earlier, Giles' best friend Tarryn Williams hosted a champagne-soaked hens party at Lady Chu in Potts Point, complete with a gloriously over-the-top '90s Hong Kong glamour dress code.

The restaurant was transformed into the 'Lucky Price Mahjong Club', where lychee martinis flowed freely and the dance floor was packed long before sunset.
