BBC Breakfast presenter Nina Warhurst shocks viewers with accidental c-bomb slip-up live on air

BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst made a very rude blunder as she appeared live on Tuesday’s show.

The broadcaster, 43, accidentally dropped the c-bomb as she presented a segment about money and business.

She appeared on the morning show with main presenters Jon Kay and Sally Nugent who introduced her segment.

Jon said: ‘Let’s talk about the budget next week and there is a warning this morning that the chancellor should not cut taxes.

‘The warning comes from a leading think tank, Nina can tell us more – morning Nina!’

The broadcaster then made the gaffe in her opening line as she said: ‘Thanks Jon, yeah, when tax c****…’

Nina speedily corrected herself as she said the word ‘cuts’ more clearly after the rude word as she continued her sentence.

In full, she said: ‘When tax c****, cuts are announced, the public listens which is possibly why the Chancellor has hinted at this ahead of the budget.’

In reaction one viewer wrote: ‘Say what you think @NinaWarhurst.’

Another penned: ‘8.11 on BBC Breakfast, @NinaWarhurst was talking about ‘Tax Cuts’ except I think she used slightly stronger language!’

Another viewer replied: ‘I nearly fell off my chair when she said it!’

Someone else penned: ‘Oopsy. Slip of the tongue, made me laugh.’

A fifth wrote: ‘Brilliantly rescued!’, as they reacted to the hilarious moment.

It comes after last month Nina returned to the programme after her maternity leave and sweetly declared that her baby is the ‘best in the world’.

The television news anchor welcomed a baby girl named Nance with her husband Ted in July – the pair’s third child together.

And she returned to TV screens in January following her maternity leave to present an investigation into the price of baby formula.

After being excitedly introduced by news anchor Jon, Nina gushed about how much she had missed ‘the gang’ at BBC Breakfast.

But she quickly added that she missed her baby girl also, apologizing to other parents as she claimed her baby is ‘the best one’.

Presenter Sarah Campbell began the morning segment by saying prices of baby formula look set to drop, but only slightly.

‘And we have got the perfect person to investigate this for us,’ Jon added. ‘Because I am delighted to say that back from maternity leave it’s Nina. Lovely to see you.’

Nina replied: ‘Thank you very much it’s lovely to be back. I have missed the gang.

‘I’m missing the baby this morning very much but yeah it’s lovely to be back. Best job in the world. And best baby in the world.’

She continued: ‘I know everyone thinks their baby is the best one but sorry guys, mine actually is yeah.’

Nina segued into the news on formula by saying she has been keeping an eye on prices due to her own journey of ‘bringing down the breastfeed and increasing the formula’ as Nance starts nursery.

Fans of the presenter were delighted to see her return to the BBC Breakfast team.

‘The world might be depressing but it is brighter for having back on #BBCBreakfast at least,’ one person wrote.

While another said: ‘Nina Nina Nina. How wonderful to see you back to work. Missed you when you were on Mat leave.
