Before her no make-up movement, Pamela Anderson glammed up to reflect on her five years (1992–1997) portraying lifeguard C.J. Parker in the No. 1 show in the world in Matthew Felker’s four-part docuseries After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun, which premieres August 28 on Hulu.
‘I’m really proud of everything I’ve done,’ the 57-year-old bombshell said in the ABC News-exclusive preview before adding, ‘Almost.’
Like Pamela, Carmen Electra went from the pages of Playboy to portraying lifeguard Lani McKenzie in the eighth season of Baywatch as well as the movie spin-offs Baywatch Nights, Baywatch: White Thunder at Glacier Bay, and Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.
‘Baywatch was the No. 1 show. When you hear that theme song,’ the 52-year-old Prince muse (born Tara Leigh Patrick) reflected.
‘It was a wild time and I was a wild chick!’

And while Anderson skipped the TCA press event in Pasadena on July 10, Carmen promoted After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun alongside Traci Bingham, Billy Warlock, Alexandra Paul, David Chokachi, Matthew Felker, Jeremy Jackson, Nicole Eggert, and Erika Eleniak.
‘Baywatch was a whirlwind of epic highs and bitter lows,’ Jeremy Jackson – who played lifeguard Hobie Buchannon from 1991–1999 – recalled.
Nicole Eggert – who played lifeguard Summer Quinn from 1992-1994 – also served as a producer on After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun, which wrapped production on June 28 after five years of filming.
The 52-year-old former child star proudly announced on July 26 that she has ‘no detectable cancer’ following chemotherapy – six months after being diagnosed with stage 2 invasive cribriform carcinoma of the breast.
After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun will also feature an interview with David Hasselhoff, who produced and starred as lifeguard Mitch Buchannon from 1989–2000 and enriched himself off the rerun royalties.
‘We are blessed to be in this business. We are blessed to have this job. We are blessed to be doing this interview. Why am I doing this documentary?’ the 72-year-old veteran TV actor said.
‘We’re doing this documentary because Baywatch is the gift that keeps on giving. It’s given me an incredible life.’
A total 35 cast members and creators took part in After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun, which also features ‘over a decade’s worth of never-before-seen home videos shot by the cast themselves.’
Billions of people tuned in each week to watch Michael Berk, Douglas Schwartz, and Gregory J. Bonann’s action drama, which spanned 12 seasons (1989-2001) and spawned a 2017 big-screen movie that earned $177.9M at the global box office despite dismal reviews.
