On Thursday, Barbra Streisand gave a rare glimpse at the lush gardens of her $16.5M Malibu compound featuring 100 rose bushes including a special variety called Barbra’s Baby.
The 82-year-old EGOT champ – who boasts 6.1M social media followers – captioned the Instagram snap: ‘Flowers are bursting welcoming spring.’
Barbra and her second husband James Brolin originally bought the lavish 10,485-square-foot estate back in 2009 and it is surrounded by water (Pacific Ocean, swimming pool, lap pool, and a pond with a water mill).
In 2023, Streisand allowed The Late Show cameras onto her private property for an interview with host Stephen Colbert about her memoir My Name Is Barbra.
The Love Will Survive singer even showed off the ‘little mall’ she installed in the basement of her eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom main house – which showcases her collectibles including a doll shop, antique shop, and a gift shop.
The married couple of 26 years share their Malibu wonderland with Babs’ four dogs – eight-year-old Poochon rescue Remy as well as seven-year-old Coton de Tulear purebreds Fanny, Violet, and Scarlet (the latter two are clones of her late canine companion Samantha).

July 1 marked the 28th anniversary of Barbra and James’ first blind date after they were set up by a mutual friend following his 1995 divorce from second ex-wife Jan Smithers and her 1971 divorce from ex-husband Elliot Gould.
Brolin had to ask for Streisand’s hand in marriage three times before she agreed, and they reportedly did not have sex until their wedding night.
On April 24, the 84-year-old Emmy winner will help celebrate the Brooklyn-born grandmother-of-four’s 83rd birthday.
‘The best investment we’ve ever made is our mattress,’ James (born Craig Bruderlin) told TODAY Tuesday of the secret to their lasting romance.
‘And don’t misunderstand me. We’re both lazy. We love to sleep late. We do a lot of our work on the phone, on paper, reading, right next to each other.’
As for how they handle arguments, Brolin explained: ‘You learn to take a walk. Both of us, not just me. I just think you gotta say, “Okay, take a deep breath, take a walk.”
‘Because, you know, animals do the same thing, you know? Humans do it to each other, animals do it to each other.’
The Sweet Tooth narrator was promoting his role as Cap Fuller in April Blair’s 10-episode Texan romantic western Ransom Canyon, which premiered Thursday night on Netflix.
Meanwhile, Barbra is enjoying her retirement after selling 150M records worldwide with her powerful three-octave mezzo-soprano pipes and topping the US Billboard Hot 100 five times.
