Nearly 20 years later, Penn Badgley and Brittany Snow are still waiting for their invitation to the reunion.
The John Tucker Must Die co-stars admitted they haven’t been approached for the sequel to their 2006 teen romantic comedy, which is currently in the works.
‘Penn, I don’t know if you’ve had a call, but I’ve gotten no call,’ said Snow, 38, on Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast.
‘Yeah, I’ve had no call, no,’ Badgley, 37, confirmed. ‘I mean, it’s maybe possible like the superposition quantum physics, like everything is potentially within the realm of, like, maybe this apple will fall up, I can’t actually say with certainty.’
Jesse Metcalfe previously teased that ‘there’s a script’ for the sequel as he appeared at Epics Con Chicago with co-stars Sophia Bush and Arielle Kebbel in March.

‘Apparently it’s amazing,’ said Metcalfe, 45. ‘I’d definitely love to be a part of it. Can’t wait to read it.’
Kebbel, 39, who is involved with the sequel, said that the script ‘does involve all of the OG cast,’ which also includes Ashanti.
She said the Metcalfe’s titular character ‘may or may not get a chance to change’ his ways, which she said ‘would be very exciting.’
On the podcast, Snow said she’s talked to Kebbel about the project ‘for years because she was trying to get it off the ground, but I didn’t know what happened, and I was like, “Go forth. Go forth with that.”
‘But so that was the last I had heard of it, was that she was trying to make it happen, and I guess she did?’ added Snow. ‘I will read whatever — they’ve worked really hard.’
Badgley said, ‘Never have I even thought of that as a potential thing, but I guess if there was a script, I would read it.
‘I’ve got the smallest role in the movie,’ he added. ‘I don’t know that I would belong in it anyway.’
Snow declared: ‘I’m not doing it if you’re not doing it.’
