Rapper Chrisean Rock has been sued for allegedly assaulting a man backstage at a Tamar Braxton concert, which took place in downtown Los Angeles, last fall.
In court documents, reviewed by the LA Times, the reality star, 23, was accused of violently attacking TV personality James Wright, who claims she punched him in the face and used a ‘homophobic slur’ in the aftermath of the reported assault.
Wright claims Rock was wearing ‘large champion style rings’ when she hit him so forcefully that she caused two of his teeth to break, according to TMZ.
He also alleged that she caused him to suffer from multiple face lacerations.

Following the incident, Wright said he went to hospital and consulted with a dentist and cosmetic surgeon.
He is seeking compensation for his medical bills as well as other damages, resulting from the ‘assault, battery, and emotional distress.’
Wright’s attorney told the LA Times that Rock ‘hit him multiple times in the face for no reason at all.’
‘She had on rings that were pretty much equivalent to brass knuckles,’ he reportedly told the outlet, per The Shade Room.
In November, Braxton spoke out against Rock for ‘traumatizing’ her dancer and pleaded for ‘justice.’
‘He got assaulted at my show, and it was by Chrisean,’ the Braxton Family Values said in an Instagram video following the November 10 concert.
Braxton said she invited Chrisean, a fellow Maryland native, to join her on stage for a ‘twerk off.’
‘She was somebody I wanted to meet, to possibly take under my wing,’ the singer said, before explicitly stating she never intended for violence to break out backstage.

Braxton, however, said a ‘misunderstanding’ occurred that led Rock to mistakenly believe she had a larger role in the show.
According to TMZ, when Wright informed Rock that she wasn’t in the properly designated area, the mother-of-one allegedly struck him.
‘He was assaulted. He was hurt… and, I’m so sorry. I really wish she had hit me, instead of him,’ Braxton told her followers back in November.
