Bachelorette’s Bill Goldsmith Posts Heartfelt Tribute After Newborn Daughter Olive’s Tragic Death

The Bachelorette’s Bill Goldsmith has shared a moving post dedicated to his daughter, Olive, who was tragically stillborn three weeks ago.

Bill and his partner, Isabelle Eisermann, announced the news of their terrible loss earlier this month.

Posting to his Instagram on Sunday, Bill included a black and white photo, in which he can be seen cradling Olive and kissing her on the forehead.

Writing his tribute in the form of a letter, Bill revealed heartbreaking details about the couple’s loss.

‘To my dearest Olive,’ he began, ‘I wanted to write you a letter, as we never had the chance to speak.’

He continued: ‘I want you to know how much both Mum and Dad love you. We miss you every single day.

‘Our hearts are forever broken, and we think about you constantly, in big moments, small moments, and all the quiet ones in between.

‘As a man, I’ve kept myself busy with work and anything else I can.

‘I’m not sure if it’s just a coping mechanism, but it seems to make everything feel a little more manageable.

‘Grief is a strange thing, and I’ve been very privileged to have never felt it at this level before.

‘It arrives without warning, and when it does, it can be completely overwhelming.

‘I read a quote recently that said, “Without love, there is no grief.” It made perfect sense. We feel this deeply because we love you so deeply.’

He completed the letter with a heartbroken emoji, and the symbol of a dove and added a final dedication: ‘You will always be a part of us, Olive. Always loved, always missed, and forever our first daughter.’

‘These are such beautiful words for our precious girl,’ Bill’s partner Isabelle said, adding sweetly: ‘In my tummy, Olive heard your voice and felt your kisses. You are the best dad ever.’

The post was quickly filled with people sending their best wishes to the grief-stricken couple.

‘You did speak. She heard every word you said to her and felt every bit of love by you both,’ messaged one follower who added, ‘She felt nothing but love, her whole, but short life. RIP little one.’

Another wrote: ‘Olive is so loved by you. That is the greatest gift you have given her.’

A third person messaged: ‘Beautiful! Olive is watching over you both. Always with you.’

It comes after Bill and Isabelle announced their terrible family news earlier this month.

‘Our sweet girl, Olive May Goldsmith, was born sleeping on Thursday, 31st October at 4.14am at 27 weeks,’ they wrote in a shared post.

The couple announced that they were expecting their first child in September, posting an image of a cake surrounded by ultrasound frames.

‘Baby Goldsmith arriving Jan 2026! Can’t believe you’re halfway grown already,’ Isabelle shared with family and friends.

Goldsmith shot to fame as an early frontrunner on Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette in 2018.
