Josh Seiter of Bachelorette fame shared online that he was headed to a mental health facility on Monday.
The 36-year-old former reality television star — who was falsely announced dead last month — posted a message on his Instagram account explaining he’s been struggling.
‘For the last month I’ve received hundreds of hateful messages and unending harassment related to my account being hacked. I wish I was stronger but I can’t take any more,’ he wrote to his 586,000 followers.
He added, ‘I am losing my phone in the next hour. I love you all. To the people sending me death threats, you win.’
Seiter also posted a photo of himself to the app’s Stories feature, appearing to be in a doctor’s office as he wrote across the image: ‘Please pray for me.’

It comes after one week ago he uploaded a smiling photo of himself sitting on a chair in a library and asked for fans to reveal what they don’t like about him.
In the caption he posed the question: ‘What do u dislike most about me?’
He then explained, ‘It’s good for our mental health to do exposures that force us to confront the reality that we won’t always gain the approval of everyone.
‘We don’t NEED anyone to like us in order to find happiness. Thinking we do is the beginning of our problems.’
In Monday’s post the comments were turned off.
Last month fans were alarmed when a message from his purported family falsely confirmed that he had died. ‘It is with an extremely heavy heart that we share the tragic news of Joshua’s unexpected passing,’ the statement read.
‘As all who knew him can attest, Joshua was an incredibly bright light in an increasingly dim world. His fearless voice and indomitable spirit helped thousands of people in their darkest moments feel just a little less alone.
‘Although our heartache at Joshua’s passing pains us beyond measure, we find comfort knowing that he is finally at peace.

The following day Seiter reemerged online to reveal he was the victim of a death hoax.
Taking to his page with a video, he clarified: ‘Hey guys, as you can see, I am alive and well. My account was hacked. For the last 24 hours I have been trying desperately to get into it.
‘Somebody was playing a cruel joke, mocking my mental illness and the struggles I’ve gone through with depression and suicide attempts. I’m sorry for all the pain they caused when they made that post.’
When asked why it took so long to prove he was actually alive, he told TMZ he prioritized getting his Instagram account back.
