Amid a court battle over child support, Stephen Stagliano, the ex-husband of The Bachelorette’s DeAnna Pappas, says that he is currently earning $22 hourly working as an Uber driver.
Pappas, 43, has accused Stagliano, 41, of being more than $20,000 behind in child support payments for their children – daughter Addison, 11, and son Austin, 9.
Stagliano told the court in a September 30 filing that he is currently working in the range of 10-15 hours weekly, making an average of $22 per hour, Us Weekly reported after reviewing legal documents.
Stagliano told the court that he has multiple educational credentials – including a master’s degree in education, and a bachelor’s degree in history education.
Stagliano said that this past August he made $436.43; and typically earns $650 monthly (with $462 of that sum derived from unemployment insurance benefits).
Daily Mail has reached out to Pappas’ rep and Stagliano via Instagram for further comment on the story.

Stagliano told the court, ‘My only sources of income are from unemployment and driving Uber,’ adding that the video company he had been working ceased operations earlier this year.
Stagliano said that his ‘last paycheck was $3,750 from Story Games on March 1, 2025.’
Stagliano told the court he had amassed a savings of $10,089 in his bank account, with monthly expenses around $7,400.
Stagliano broke that total down as such: $4,300 in rent expenses; $500 for food; $100 on dining out; $150 on apparel; $300 on transportation expenses; $1000 to paying down credit debt; and $314 payments on a Ford Escape.
Stagliano said that he has applied to more than 150 jobs ‘in various industries with no success.’
The father-of-two said he remains ‘actively looking for a job’ while supplementing his monthly income with earnings from his work for the rideshare service.
‘I drive Uber to generate income when I can,’ Stagliano told the court. ‘I have paid $1,500 in alimony to [Pappas] every single month.’
Pappas headlined the fourth season of The Bachelorette in 2008, which begat a brief engagement to Jesse Csincsak.

Prior to that, the Marietta, Georgia-born reality star was a finalist on The Bachelor’s 11th season in 2007 featuring Brad Womack.
Bachelor Nation did eventually pave the path to her romance with Stagliano, as they met via his twin brother Michael, a one-time contestant on The Bachelorette.
Pappas and Stagliano got married on October 22, 2011 and welcomed daughter Addison in February of 2014; two years later, in March of 2016, they welcomed son Austin.
In January 2023, Pappas took to social media to reveal that the pair had split up.
‘It is with immense sadness, Stephen & I have decided to end our relationship as a couple,’ Pappas said. ‘We have been working hard for a long time – both as a married couple & as individuals – & have come to the conclusion to remain separate.
‘We remain loving parents to our beautiful children, Addison & Austin, & will continue to raise them together with love & faith.’
Pappas wrapped up in saying, ‘We want to thank our dear friends & family for your endless support & many, many prayers during what has become the most difficult time of our lives.’
