Laura Byrne appears to have made an enemy out of her neighbour after she had police officers kick down the elderly woman’s door.
The former Bachelor star, 38, recounted the horrifying moment on her Life Uncut podcast on Monday, sharing a clip of it to TikTok.
In the video, the mother-of-two revealed she called for a welfare check on her neighbour when she noticed food had been sitting outside her front door for hours.
‘I get home from work at like 5pm and I notice that [my neighbour’s] groceries are on the doorstep,’ Laura explained.
She went on to say she ‘mentioned it’ to her husband Matty Johnson who revealed the delivery had been sitting there ‘all day’.
Laura added: ‘I was like, “That makes me feel weird.” Anyway, eight o’clock, stuck my head out, groceries were still there. So, I banged on the door, she didn’t answer.
‘I thought, “I feel really uncomfortable about this.” Ten o’clock, still at the door. I’ve never been in a situation where I have to call for a welfare check before.
‘Whilst I was still on the phone, I could hear the sirens coming. There is also a police rescue van that has now arrived on the street.’

Laura said the police attempted to knock on the door but also received no answer and became ‘very concerned’.
‘They can’t pick the lock, so then they start to kick the door down… Then you hear this [old woman’s voice say], “What’s going on?”‘ Laura continued.
‘So, Iris was asleep. I didn’t know that Iris was also deaf.’
As Laura began to laugh at the unfortunate situation, co-host Brittany Hockley joked: ‘Imagine waking up from a nap and there’s 25 policemen in your lounge room!’
Laura added that her neighbour Iris also didn’t know she had groceries being delivered that day, and thought they were set to arrive later in the week.

‘Now she is so mad at us. So I saw her on the weekend like, “Hi, Iris,” and she just stared,’ Laura explained.
She then joked that Iris ‘f**king flipped me off’ and screamed at her that she ‘wasn’t dead’.
However, many Life Uncut listeners came to Laura’s defence and said she did the right thing by looking out for her elderly neighbour.
‘As a health worker that does welfare checks for a living, keep doing it! You could have saved someone’s life. You did the right thing,’ one user commented on Instagram.
‘If I was an elderly person living alone I would feel relieved that someone noticed and cared enough to take matters into their own hands – no doubt you did the right thing!’ added another.
