Baby Reindeer leads the winners with first  gong of the night as streamers and broadcasters battle for bragging rights at the TV BAFTA Awards

After winning just about everything else, there was an inevitability about Baby Reindeer claiming the first accolade of the night as the TV BAFTA Awards got underway on Sunday evening. 

In front of a full house at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Jessica Gunning collected the award for Best Actress after winning accolades for her portrayal of crazed stalker Martha in Richard Gatt’s hugely successful Netflix drama.
