About three minutes into the Q&A, moderator Samantha Barry asked the 45-year-old Oscar nominee why it was important for her to executive produce her Netflix series, she felt the left side of her dress become unfastened and squealed, ‘Oooh!’
Kate immediately placed her left hand over her chest and began laughing after nearly exposing herself to the crowd packed inside the 192-seat auditorium.
Moments later, Hudson’s co-star Brenda Song protectively stood in front of her as her other co-star Justin Theroux and Barry got out of their seats to help her.
‘You didn’t expect this!’ The Voice battle advisor exclaimed.
‘It’s a car accident back here!’ Justin joked while adjusting her dress.

Just 30 minutes later, the nepo-baby of Goldie Hawn suffered the exact same wardrobe malfunction after applauding her co-star Jay Ellis as he revealed his college basketball coach was sitting in the audience.
‘Oop!’ Kate exclaimed again.
But this time, only Justin rushed to Hudson’s aid while scoffing: ‘It’s getting boring at this point.’
The Gonna Find Out singer executive produced and starred as party girl-turned-LA Waves owner Isla Gordon in Mindy Kaling’s 10-episode basketball comedy, which premiered February 27.
Last Thursday, Kate announced Netflix had renewed the critically-acclaimed sporty show for a second season.
Running Point – set in the unpredictable, male-dominated world of sports – also features Drew Tarver, Scott MacArthur, Fabrizio Guido, Toby Sandeman, Chet Hanks, and Max Greenfield.
Hudson – who averages 200K monthly listeners on Spotify – is next scheduled to perform May 24 at the BottleRock Napa Valley music festival held at California’s Napa Valley Expo.
