Netflix fans have slammed the script in the new series of Avatar: The Last Airbender after it finally hit the streaming service on Thursday.
All eight episodes of the show were released on the platform more than six years after it was first announced, and it has already divided fans.
Despite the lengthy wait, fans were appalled by the scriptwriting and took to X, formerly Twitter, to vent their frustration.
One upset user wrote: ‘Bruh the changes they made in Netflix’s The Last Airbender makes no sense.
‘I mean it’s miles better than that s**t show M. Night put out years ago, but only in it’s action and actors. The script is a turd sandwich’.

Another was dissatisfied by the changes on show in the latest series.
They wrote: ‘That first episode of Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender is rough. I’m all in for changing things up and making some things different, but changes have to make sense.
‘Everything looks as it should and the music sounds great, but the line delivery and script is shaky at best’.
A third added: ‘I just started watching the new Avatar The Last Airbender on Netflix. What a boring Introduction Narration. The intro is literally something I look forward to every time.
‘Why change ”Long Ago” to ”For Millennia” argh’.
A fellow viewer was also disappointed with the new live-action remaking of the show, stating: ‘I was 90% sure this was going to fail the moment they left the script and focused on activism.
‘Twice they have attempted to make live-action of Avatar Last Airbender, twice they have failed.’
A further user was exasperated by the scriptwriters’ choice to explain how the Avatar in the show was reincarnated.
They wrote: ‘First intro mins into Avatar Last Airbender they explain step by step of how the Avatar is reincarnated. Why? They couldn’t of worked that into the script like the original show?’
