An Australian author has taken to social media to reveal she received abusive phone calls after she slammed knitwear from Nadia Bartel’s Henne brand.
Kate Forster, who is known for her witty critiques on TikTok, took to the social media platform to question why many influencers were pushing a cardigan that retails for $229.
‘I don’t understand why girls who say they are influencers are all wearing the same uniform,’ Forster said in the post.
‘It’s a f****ing cardigan, why do yo want to wear the same thing as everyone else?’ she went on.
‘I don’t give a s*** about what f***ing cardigan you wear,’ she continued.
It wasn’t long before Forster was inundated with backlash.
‘I’ve received repeated phone calls to my house and to my mobile. I don’t know where thy got my f***ing number,’ she said in a separate post shared to TikTok.
‘They have called me many times and made fun of me over the phone about this [Henne cardigan].

‘So if you you think you are standing for Henne you’re actually putting a massive skid mark on it,’ she continued.
‘You have actually done this brand a disservice because you have made this brand look like mean girls.’
After hearing about the online debacle, Nadia reached out to Forster to make things right.
‘Hi Kate I’m reaching out to you because of the Tik Tok’s I have seen,’ she began.
‘I’m so sorry you have been receiving threatening calls to your home.’
‘Neither I nor Henne support bullying of any form,’ she continued.
Henne was founded in 2019 by Nadia Bartel, Michelle Ring and Laura Broque.
Nadia was in Sydney earlier this year to open the label’s second boutique in Paddington

The opening night drew a glamorous crowd, all eager to celebrate the former WAG’s latest fashion venture.
P.E Nation’s Pip Edwards, radio queen Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and ‘nude artist’ Dina Broadhurst were just some of the guests on the night.
Bartel has quickly made a name for herself in the fashion industry with her label, known for its minimalist and stylish pieces.
The Sydney store marks an exciting expansion for the brand, which has garnered a loyal following since its inception.
