Authentic Batman Returns suit and E.T.’s original animatronic head to be auctioned alongside other sci-fi memorabilia from Michael Keaton’s collection

Sci-fi, fantasy and superhero fans with some extra cash burning a hole in their pockets will have a chance to take home some iconic genre items next month.

Julien’s Auctions will debut its Robots, Wizards, Heroes & Aliens: Contemporary Hollywood Auction from December 14-17.

The centerpiece of the auction will be an original ‘hero’ mechanical animatronic head used in the 1982 classic E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, created by Carlo Rambaldi.

A full animatronic E.T. model previously sold at Julien’s Auction¬†for $2.5 million, with this original head expected to fetch between $800,000 and $1 million.

There will also be items from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC Comics movies, Harry Potter and much more going under the hammer.

One of the other top-dollar items expected to fetch in the mid-six-figures is the Model B-9 ‘The Robot’ from the iconic 1960s TV series Lost in Space.

This is one of just two full-scale models of the robot that was made for the show’s three season run, which is still functional and one of the rarest artifacs from the era.

The model is expected to be sold between $300,000 and $500,000, one of the most expensives items going up for bidding. 

There will also be a number of items going on the block as part of Warner Bros.’ 100 year anniversary celebration, including a film-worn costume from 1992’s Batman Returns.

Batman and Batman Returns director Tim Burton will also have a number of never-before-seen original paintings he made early in his career.

One of the paintings features Batman’s nemesis Joker, with the piece dubbed The Joker Steals Christmas, estimated to fetch between $60,000 and $80,000.

Harry Potter fans will be able to take home an original screen-matched, special effects Headmaster’s robe worn by Richard Harris in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, expected to fetch between $50,000 and $70,000.

The gold-tone glasses worn by Harris will also be up for auction, expected to be sold for anywhere between $10,000 and $20,000.

The Star Wars galaxy will also be represented with lightsabers from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

The dual-bladed lightsaber used by Darth Maul (Ray Park) is estimated to fetch between $40,000 and $60,000 with Ewan McGregor’s Obi-Wan Kenobi and Liam Neeson’s Qui-Gon Jinn lightsabers expected to get $25,000 and $35,000.

A bowcaster used by Chewbacca in the iconic film series will also be up for auction though no estimate was given. 

Superhero fans will be able to take home some iconic items from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Robert Downey Jr.’s Mark II Helmet from Iron Man¬†and the¬†Mark 46 Helmet from Captain America: Civil War are both expected to fetch between $30,000 – $50,000.

Don Cheadle’s War Machine Mark II Helmet from Avengers: Age of Ultron will likely fetch between $10,000-20,000.
