Australian Ninja Warrior star Zed Colback has suffered a heartbreaking family tragedy, two years after the accidental drowning death of his brother Sam.
The reality TV star, 31, shared a sad update to social media on Wednesday confirming his beloved grandmother had died alongside a precious photo introducing her to her great-granddaughter.
‘Gonna miss you heaps Nanna. I’m thankful for the years of great memories with you,’ Zed began.
‘You’re finally with your Heavenly Father. Give Grandad and Sam a huge hug from me.’
Many of Zed’s followers took to the comment section to share their condolences.
‘Sorry to hear, my condolences to you and your family,’ one person wrote.

‘What a beautiful lady’, commented someone else, before a third added, ‘Big hugs to all of you.’
In December 2023, Zed suffered an immense tragedy when his brother Sam died in a snorkelling accident.
Sam’s beachside funeral was livestreamed on social media at the time.
Sam was just 24 years old when he died during a solo snorkelling trip in Western Australia in December 2023.
His body was recovered from the water in Albany, on the southern tip of WA.
Zed paid tribute to Sam in a touching post following the tragedy.
He shared a gallery of precious family photos capturing him and Sam living life to the fullest while rock climbing and parasailing and captioned it with some sad words.

‘Wish we could go on one last adventure together.’
Zed comes from a large family of 13 siblings and told 7News he wished he could have spent more time with his late brother.
‘You’re never at the time thinking you’ll look back at those moments as some of the final memories of someone,’ he said.
‘We took every chance to get out and do something. We were on the same wavelength.’
Zed works as a rock climbing instructor and has been married to the love of his life, Nicole, since 2018.
