Austin, who is starring as lead Benny in The Bikeriders alongside a star-studded cast, appeared in good spirits as he posed in front of Sydney’s iconic landmark.
He is set to hit the red carpet later in the day at the Australian premiere of The Bikeriders at Sydney’s State Theatre.
The red carpet will be rolled out as part of the Sydney Film Festival’s Special Presentations event, which comes four weeks ahead of the film’s July 4 cinematic release.
The Bikeriders tells the fictional story of a Chicago outlaw motorcycle club called The Vandals, and is inspired by photographer Danny Lyon’s 1967 portfolio of the same name.

The action-drama follows the tumultuous rise of the fictional 1960s midwestern motorcycle club as it goes from a gathering place for local outsiders to a more sinister gang.
Austin’s character Benny comes into conflict with the biker gang’s leader Johnny, played by Tom Hardy, as the group begins to shift towards more criminal dealings.
Jodie Comer stars as Benny’s girlfriend Kathy while the cast also features other big names including Norman Reedus and Michael Shannon.
The inspiration behind Jeff Nichols’ latest feature was Danny Lyon’s 1967 photobook, which was centered on the Chicago-based motorcycle club Outlaws MC.
A host of lucky Sydneysiders will get the chance to watch the hotly-anticipated thriller at the annual Sydney Film Festival, which runs from June 5 until June 16.

Austin, who is attending Thursday’s screening, is no stranger to Australia having previously spent time Down Under filming for Baz Luhrmann’s smash hit Elvis biopic.
Taking on the leading role of Elvis Presley, Austin spent a considerable amount of time shooting on the Gold Coast for the epic.
His last visit Down Under was to attend the film’s premiere back in 2022.
His portrayal of the King of Rock and Roll earned him a Golden Globe and a BAFTA, along with an Academy Award nomination.
