Aussie Reality TV Couple Surprises Fans with Engagement During Getaway

Alex Dalton and Madison Orchard have taken their relationship to the next level, revealing they are officially engaged after a romantic proposal in the Philippines.

The couple, who first met on the Stan dating experiment Love Triangle in 2022, shared the happy news on Instagram on Sunday, posting a series of stunning photos from a candlelit beachfront set-up in Boracay.

‘Sooo.. this kinda happened!!!! 22/11,’ Madison wrote alongside a white heart emoji. 

In the photos, Madison looks effortlessly chic in a cream-coloured bandeau crop top paired with flowing white trousers, her hair pulled back in a sleek ponytail.

Alex, dressed casually in a pale blue shirt and white shorts, is seen on bended knee inside a cave illuminated with fairy lights, lanterns and a glowing heart-shaped sign reading ‘Will you marry me?’

Another image shows the couple sharing a private celebratory dinner surrounded by candles.

A final clip features Alex proudly holding up the engagement ring moments before popping the question.

The engagement marks a major milestone for the pair.

Alex famously described meeting Madison for the first time as a lightning bolt moment. 

But their journey wasn’t without its hurdles.

During the experiment, Alex momentarily doubted the relationship after meeting Bec, his other match, and seeing what he described as a different side of Madison.

At the time, he expressed concerns over her becoming jealous, possessive and less honest.

‘That’s a worrying thing for me because if that’s part of her character, you can’t really build a strong relationship with someone like that,’ he said.

Two years on, their love story has come full circle in the most romantic way possible.

The Stan dating show will not be returning for a fourth series.
