Aussie Adult Star’s Surprising Earnings During Pregnancy: How Raunchy Videos Make Her a ‘Better Mum’

Australian adult content creator Emily Mai has revealed she made tens of thousands of dollars online just for being pregnant.

The mother-of-two, 35, who used to be a stripper, tells Daily Mail she stumbled into the world of pregnancy fetishes when she first fell pregnant while on OnlyFans.

‘I became a creator because I knew that I would become a mum one day, and I wanted to have the flexibility to work around my kids’ schedules,’ she says.

‘I started the account while I was working as a dancer, because I knew I didn’t want to work the clubs anymore once I became pregnant.’

She admits she lost a lot of followers and subscribers when she fell pregnant with her first child, but the fans who stuck around began to pay her more money.

‘I attracted a lot of “pregnancy guys” who were just so thoughtful, caring and generous,’ she says.

Emily, who is based in Melbourne, reveals some fans went so far as to send her flowers and food hampers to help satisfy her pregnancy cravings.

‘Some subscribers role-played as my partner – like we were in a long-distance relationship,’ she recalls.

‘There was definitely that energy of: “I want to take care of you and make sure you and the baby are okay.”‘

While some requests became very graphic – ‘lactation play’ and ‘cuckoldom’ – Emily says most of her money came from fulfilling very simple desires.

She says subscribers spent a collective AU$14,710 on video calls to watch her ‘rub my pregnant belly’, with one dropping more than AU$3,000 on a single call.

Emily also made another AU$10,615 from fans who just wanted to ‘sext’ her while she was pregnant.

‘I went from making [AU$758 to AU$4,549] a month to making [AU$30,329 to AU$60,659] a month while pregnant,’ she says.

Half of that amount was made entirely from selling pregnancy content, Emily claims.

‘My old pregnancy videos are still some of my top selling content. I even ended up having to buy a fake pregnancy belly to keep up with demand,’ she says.

Despite making a pretty penny selling niche raunchy content online, Emily says she doesn’t just do it for the money.

As a single mother who shares a two-year-old and five-year-old with her ex-partner, Emily says making a career in porn has made her a ‘better mum’ – no matter what her critics might think.

‘I tick all the boxes of what it takes to be a good parent. But because of the way I make money – my legal way of making money – I’m criticised,’ she says.

‘It’s not like I’m standing on the street corner selling drugs or something.’

She says having a lucrative OnlyFans account allows her to work entirely around her kids’ school schedules.

‘[I can] be there for pick-up and drop-off, and never miss a school event. That’s what being a good mum means to me,’ she says.

‘Every morning, I wake up before the kids and clear out my inbox. I spend one to two hours chatting to the guys, depending on how early I wake up.’

‘Then I spend the morning with my kids – getting them ready for school and daycare,’ she continues.

‘After dropping them off, I bunker down with my phone and laptop and work until school is finished for the day.

‘Then I pick them up, we do extracurriculars like swimming, dinner, bedtime – and once they’re asleep, I’m back online again.

‘Some days, I’ll shoot content at an Airbnb during the day.’

Emily goes on to say her flexible working hours mean her children ‘get as much time from me as they want’.

‘If they’re sick, they stay home and I’ll skip work that day. I’m not dosing them up on Panadol and sending them away like I know a lot of working parents do,’ she says.

‘They never miss out on birthday parties or afterschool activities because I have to work late. I just work when they’re not in my care.

‘I even pull them out of school or daycare for holidays, because I can work anywhere in the world.’

Emily goes on to say much of the criticism she receives about her work comes from other mothers who ‘attack her’ for her career.

‘Some mums found out that I did OnlyFans and it became the biggest drama,’ she recalls, adding that some mothers even stopped their children from playing together.

Despite the backlash, Emily says she’s ‘not ashamed’ of her work, but does keep it ‘low key’ so the negative attention doesn’t affect her kids.

‘Being a good parent isn’t about what you do for work – it’s about how much love, time and attention you give your kids,’ she says.
